Enjoyed the video. I like coming across old stuff like that. I really like browsing around in old homesteads and just thinking about what it was like for the folks that lived there
Tim, you and Lord Muck are real gentlemen and true leaders here on youtube, you do a great job on your channel and portray a true sense of your own humanity in your videos, always something new and fresh, or some nugget of wisdom in each and every one of them. Thanks for the time and thought you put into bringing us all free entertainment.
Ron Aaserude I so agree with your comments. Tim is one in a million and one hard working fella!
Very encouraging. My back field hasn't been bush hogged in about 3 years. A lot of saplings are starting to take hold and I need to drop them, now. Thanks for the vid.
I like. Found many old stills in the woods from old years. Good video.
The tractor & bush hog do a good job !
When my dad worked for Crown Zellerbach their foresters would always let the locals know at the country stores that they were planning to cut a certain tract. They wanted to give them time to move their stills! That was in 70's between Wiggins and Hattiesburg!
Nice video. Also nice to see the 75 is still going strong.
Love watching them green tractors while I'm stuck behind a desk. You have it looking good. I'm guessing you'll be disking up shortly, if so send Jason a clip. Show him what a smaller tractor with a green disk will do.
Thanks for showing the still
Thank you for making it in real time.
I have to agree the way you use wind direction and cut trails for deer. I have also seen the longer the cut trail is a few slight turns make them more comfortable than an arrow straight one
Tim I really like the chipper I cannot wait to see the video on it working. It should make your cleanup a whole lot easier
Around the “keerner” 😂 like how country you talk.
I really enjoyed the still, I love to look at old things and to see how it works. Great video, I like watching your channel
I'm a new sub! Love your content. Look forward to whatever's coming next! Love ya 👍🏼😉
Good stuff , good looking rig for sure !
Second video I watched from your channel now. Subscribed. Keep up the nice work man. Like the set up you have with the Bush Hog and John Deere
+hilham 89 thank you for watching!
Two thumbs up for anyone who still makes whiskey the old way, store bought stuff sucks.
Gary Kolo I
Gary Kolo 👍🤫👍
Huntin in florida ive come across old foundations of cabins w bottles n such. Found a grow once but no stills
Jamie & I met you at How Farms Work! Should have talked more! Maybe next year???
Cool video Tim, didn't you build a shooting range on your property, would be cool to see again and maybe some shooting with hunting season right around the corner. Thanks for sharing with us.
Love the tractor
Love ur videos sir
+Dave Stinson thank you
Great vidja 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Lol, I was gonna say there's probably still some making that stuff today.😁
Hard to beat thst tractor an bushog set-up. I've spent many a hour on a 5400 w 7' cutter. I would've loved to have thst grapple rake an ur transmission. It was hard not to grind gears on old ones. Especially goin forward to reverse before they had synchronized trans. An now w power reverser there sweet
I knew some boy's from Cumberland Falls that run shine up to Cincinnati every weekend to the mafia, then went to Louisville to tech school during the week. they bought a new Chevrolet Impala every 6 months, race engines and suspension s in 1967. 20 years later I visited again, they were growing marijuana. Cincinnati came to them. password across rail road bridges is. All Dead one's. I'm in Silverton Oregon now. thanks for the videos
Horseback is a great way to get around. As well a good tall wheeled cart to haul the corn in. Then take whiskey out like the ol pony express days..Running shine old school!
I imagine you're right, just old dirt trails through the woods accessed with mainly horses.
If you want to find the one rock, chain or cable in 100 acres of brush with a brush hog I can find it with in the first 10 minutes.
I am going to see you at the Paul Bunyan show. You might want to bring some warm clothes, for what ever reason it seems like it's cold and rainy!
+Jim Wesselman I kinda figured the weather could go either way. Me and jill will have our warm clothes just in case.
I could metal detect it Tim,all I need is permission..You'd be surprised at how many old coin's are there..lol For real, the bottles would be great to find as well..Great Vid. Tim, I gotta rent one for my place, darn sapling's are taking up my pasture area here..Have a great day Tim..
Did you shoot the grass?, a much needed to be answered question!
Enjoy your video tim
Good stuff. Subbed!
Thank you!
I may have asked this before and if I did I apologise for being repetitive.....but do y'all perform prescribed burning on your pine tracts? Thanks again for sharing your experiences with us.
+Byron Glover yes and u will see some of that this next year
Did you say shooting house?
Nice looking setup you have. What length of trailer you have to haul your trailer on?
hey tim do you think Jason from hollis farms will go with you to the paul bunyan show that would be awesome.thanks for all the awesome videos
+Eric Stayner he won't be able to go. He has to tend to his deer everyday and can't leave them.
Throwing lead is always good!!
Looks like someone is getting ready for hunting season lol
I am small farmer in SC who started following you a few weeks back. I really like your videos! A question: How do you deal with thorns while bush hogging? I have gone through two front tires and four tubes working on field that has prickly pear thorns in it. Any advice is appreciated!
Richard Ridlehuber check into firestone forestry special tires for tractors or go with heavier ply tires
im surprised you guys dont have a forestry mulcher so when the mills slow down you can switch over to right of way clearing. the stuff you cleared is toothpicks for say a tigercat pipeliner
lets compare the costs of those machines,,,my bet is that a mulcher is pretty expensive
Interesting Video Tim. Was that broad leaf grass like vegetation what some folks call Johnson grass?
+Dan Whiteford that's was grain sorghum
Are any fluorescent green logging t-shirts for sale? I'm looking to sport one down in Wilkinson County! 😊
do you ever finde any civil war stuff I like the still history
I meant to say any TDK logging t-shirts...
Oh yea had some of that juice from down your way a few weeks ago at the races strawberry omg was that smooth hahahahahahaha see ya Napa Mike
Great video!! Where you at?
Central Alabama
I grew up where they build those bush hogs and the old folks always said if the tractor will run over it that bushhog will eat it.
I believe I'll check the whiskey still....ah, liquor cabinet....lol.
It's 5 o'clock somewhere!
....13
I would like to hear the story behind that still but you never hear those stories 👍👍👍👍
You are Johnny cash!😂
Good video sir. Do you metal detector
Do you sharpen your bush hog blades or leave them dull? If you do sharpen, do you just use a grinder and how often would you say the need it?
I use a grinder and just knock some of the bluntness off is all.
Have you had any major problems out of the 5075e looking to buy an around the same size but read some bad reports
I haven’t had any problems.
I haven't heard an accent like your sense 1997
He talk funny!
Excuse my ignorance, and likely dumb question... but your 3-point hitch looks different... what ya got goin on there?
It may be explained in one of your other videos, but I just found your channel
It’s a quick hitch. The flex point for the top link is actually built into the bushhog.
Okay, I thought so. Just wasn't sure. That looks convenient man.
What height do you recommend bushhogging? Why?
MrSea2river 6-8 inches
Bet they made some fine white liquor back then.
what is the brand/model of your bush hog?
It’s a 297 bushhog brand.
Do u ever get stung by hornets or yellow jackets
label on the side of it says bushhog,,,,,
Now days instead of walking up on an old still you will end up in the middle of a bunch of empty plastic flower pots.
Brenton Medders 🌲👍🤣👍🌲
Hello, just subscribed to your channel. Could really use some help. I live in Southwest Louisiana, and I'm wanting to do bush hogging. Any help as to how to go about getting business clients? Who to talk to? Where to go? Thanks in advance for any help.
Why do u need a gun when cutting hedges
Only if them trees could talk the stories they could tell
What's on your wrist??
The GoPro remote
the pto dose not look like it is moving
It’s moving inside that plastic shield.
John Deer 3025e
Brush hog 1, overgrown lot 0.
Yah that's brush hogging, not this I'm cutting tall weeds and calling it brush hogging garbage
Ya just won't show us your still will ya? lol😆😆
First!
why you need glock on tracktor work ?????? WTF
Because every once in a while thugs from the cities make their way out to the country and commit crimes. It's like insurance...better to have it and not need it than it is to need it and not have it.
Bc why not carry a gun it’s better to have it then to not need it
knottide64 thugs from the cities are going to take the time to come to you just to commit a crime. Them hillbillies rite there are the ones u need to concern urself with. Ijs!!!
Because.. USA
It’s for hog and coyotes
The one thing I have noticed is that families have used diesel equipment a lot has an effect the parents health and also the health of the children, more than families who are not around chemicals or diesel fumes. I noticed this about 40 years ago when I was living in farm country and excavating companies. I remember a farm famly that all 4 children had some debilitating health. I remember going into the office of an long-standing excavating company and noticing some of the grandchildren had limbs missing. Could all be just a coincidence, but in my mind I still don't think it was a coincidence. I could be paranoid too.
I love to bush hawg i could do it allday and night 😂..idk summertime is ruff tho with no cab!
