Ok just recently I got this code. And my question is, do I just go and buy a new catalytic converter? And not check other possibilities. By the way my vehicle is a 07 Mitsubishi outlander. And yes I do get maintenance done regularly.☺️😉

Hi Ileana, you may inspect first all the electrical connectors related to the catalytic converter for corrosion or damage, repair/replace them if necessary. Also, check for exhaust leak and oxygen sensor if working properly.

@@abdulazizhamed589 Hi Abdulaziz to be honest haven't done nothing yet. Am considering first follow up on Nonda recommendations. The dealer already told me it would cost $1,210 plus $120 for labor. Some other mechanics said to just remove it 😳.

I will not remove it..
Tomorrow I will Re set the codes. Maybe it's just history. If the engine check show up again I will do second step which is clean it by put some special chemical with fuel and drive the car for hour.
