I am convinced ironing and laundry actually kept women sane in the 1950’s. Now many of us hate it
And most do not even iron anymore. I recently started
Ironing again and it is so peaceful its my alone time I get to watch my fav show and all those clean pressed piles
Of clothes sitting on my coffee table waiting for
My kids to wake up
In the morning and take their piles to there rooms.
Men need to see this to understand that mum's who stay at home are Working just as hard if not more sometimes..well done!

I think any normal person knows how hard is to take care of a home. And lots of men do homechores nowadays, we're not in the 60's anymore.
That's kinda like saying she's babysitting her own child or that she is housekeeper. When she Combs her hair is she a hairstylist? Not so sure a maid would agree with you.

My mama used to make us iron pillow cases of course we still do napkins and dish towels I swore to mama telling he I would never do dish towels I still do some things we learn and don't change.

What items do you normally iron? I hardly ever iron unless it is some article that one of us is wearing.
Certain cloths for the kitchen, sometimes pillowcases, the cloths to wipe baby's mouth and shirts!

Do you do laundry in one day or throughout the week? European women have it very hard without a dryer!
Hi there, I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner. Laundry throughout the week. A lot of European women have dryers, I just don't have one :) I like my drying rack and the wire in my garden. But maybe if we have more kids we will buy one to help us out every once in a while! Greetings from The Netherlands!! 💛

Another reason is, bc we rarely used dryers in the 1900s our clothes never got made the way that they all could go into the dryer. Lets just say we use too much synthetic materials in our clothes and to weak woven cotton, so it would shrink and melt if we would dry it in the dryer. Also our dryers dont have all these nice settings that yours have, just bc of that reason. We usually only use dryers for towels and bedsheets. Tho now the new heat pump dryers dry with such a low temperature even non dryer safe clothes can get dried in the dryer:)
