They had deductions but still they were 8 pts higher than the 2nd place. That’s how excellent their performance was! Truly they are in a class of their own.
I never tire of watching these two. Just beautiful, just awesome!!! They do not just perform. It is so smooth and so in sync. And you can see they enjoy what they are doing.

it was probably their first lift. lifts usually get 6pts. but you can see when they finish they only have 5pts. this was not a controversial lift, but different judges in different competitions liked it. others didn't. hence the deduction. they ended up changing it in the olypmics. and i think the other deduction was for their rotational lift. the one where tessa flips into the lift and is on scotts shoulder and he spins. *i could be wrong tho. that's just what i think*
