To be fair, we don't know how much of the RE canon has been changed with the remakes, along with the personalities of certain characters. Hell, is the RE1make even canon to 2 and 3's remake? It's possible that this version of Brad's character isn't nearly the coward he was in the original game, since he's more concerned for Jill's well being before the start of the game and as he sacrifices himself to let Jill escape. Not only did he feel a sense of remorse towards his actions at the Spencer Mansion, but he also tried to help Jill in her investigation of Umbrella's activities despite the danger of getting involved. He felt a sense of pride towards his fellow S.T.A.R.S. officers, and the S.T.A.R.S. unit in general; it's possible that this version of Brad, normally calm, and not one to question authority nor the ability of his compatriots, might've snapped when he witnessed R.P.D.'s finest getting munched on by a bunch of Cerberus. Outnumbered and outgunned, he might've figured he'd be dog food too had he not flown the fuck out of Dodge.
Nemesis is scary for the first bit of the game but when he mutates for me he loses that intimidation cause he just looks like a regular mutant in RE. I liked how in the old game he would always follow you and slowly mutates into his final form. Also they skipped on the clock tower, tower and grave digger parts from the original and those parts were important for the story. RE3 remake is a fun horror game but does have missing parts that would make the game way better
I hope they add sort of dlc like re7 nightmare mode (or just add mercenaries) where you fight hordes of zombies and instead of nemesis popping up in certain rounds he’s just there the whole time lurking

I think the best system to prevent that is the "cinematic bars"/letterboxing. You can tell when you leave cinematics because the top and bottom of the screen expand. It's unintrusive and kind of adds cinematic effect.

Dude my biggest complaint with the game isnt the length but the level of plot armor Jill has. Like the part where Nemesis jump scares you on the ladder, he just grabs her by the head and lightly tosses her away despite the fact that he could easily crush her head and his sole single minded goal is to kill her.
Nemesis picking Jill up off of the ladder by her head then casually tossing her to the side is a real far cry from that scene in the original where he grabbed Brad by his face and impaled him instantly before immediately turning his attention onto Jill
I guess it wasn't conveyed particularly well, but Nicholai was playing both Umbrella and the other contractor. Umbrella paid him to essentially erase any trace of their involvement in Raccoon City, which would have been jeopardized if Jill managed to call off the airstrike with the vaccine. At the same time, he was also collecting and selling combat data of the BOWs for the other company that hired him. Essentially, he was looking to get paid by both companies. Doesn't make Nicholai less of a one-dimensional villain though.
it's such a dumb moment in the game too, you can aim for his stomach or his foot and it will always hit there... What's even the point of asking the player to do something in that scene if you're just gonna ignore whatever the player does?

Removing the choice to hit or miss i.e. just a cutscene would make it significantly less impactful, to the point why bother show them fighting just skip to the nuke scene. Its scripted, its linear, but it works better than just a full cutscene where the player just watch. It looks stupid for ignorants, but if you take a deeper look it makes sense, that is why many other games did the similar things... also plot. Besides, if you failed the game tells you that you lost got yourself killed and Carlos which is again impactful because you know the outcome if you fail.

Yes and no. Traditional ammo used for "rifles" ,which mind you is way too roundabout a term for them as a Marksmans rifle and a assault rifle aren't even close, are going to be way different depending on the rifle. In this case the bullet is likely a 5.56x42 which is not particularly big. They travel at incredible speed but don't make big holes to simply things. Then you .300 winchester which could take your head and turn it into pudding. Big difference lol.Also handguns are not "peashooters". A 9mm round being one of the most classic and among the smaller handgun rounds is still bigger than what you think it is. It's not a .22 squirrel gun.

Dude my biggest complaint with the game isnt the length but the level of plot armor Jill has. Like the part where Nemesis jump scares you on the ladder, he just grabs her by the head and lightly tosses her away despite the fact that he could easily crush her head and his sole single minded goal is to kill her.

Umbrella paid him to essentially erase any trace of their involvement in Raccoon City, which would have been jeopardized if Jill managed to call off the airstrike with the vaccine. At the same time, he was also collecting and selling combat data of the BOWs for the other company that hired him. Essentially, he was looking to get paid by both companies.
Doesn't make Nicholai less of a one-dimensional villain though.

What's even the point of asking the player to do something in that scene if you're just gonna ignore whatever the player does?
@@Daxank because it gives the player the illusion of taking part in the ending. Its videogame 101. Removing the choice to hit or miss i.e. just a cutscene would make it significantly less impactful, to the point why bother show them fighting just skip to the nuke scene. Its scripted, its linear, but it works better than just a full cutscene where the player just watch.
It looks stupid for ignorants, but if you take a deeper look it makes sense, that is why many other games did the similar things... also plot. Besides, if you failed the game tells you that you lost got yourself killed and Carlos which is again impactful because you know the outcome if you fail.

Traditional ammo used for "rifles" ,which mind you is way too roundabout a term for them as a Marksmans rifle and a assault rifle aren't even close, are going to be way different depending on the rifle. In this case the bullet is likely a 5.56x42 which is not particularly big. They travel at incredible speed but don't make big holes to simply things. Then you .300 winchester which could take your head and turn it into pudding. Big difference lol.Also handguns are not "peashooters". A 9mm round being one of the most classic and among the smaller handgun rounds is still bigger than what you think it is. It's not a .22 squirrel gun.
