  • In this video we'll be installing our SSL certificate using Let's Encrypt.
    We'll also be downloading the Stripe PHP API to enable us to charge users and send the charges through to Stripe.
    By the end of the video, we'll have a completely working implementation that allows us to use Apple Pay on our website.

    Please don't teach people to run shell commands with unsanitized user input. That hack there was unneeded, as you could see the server logs for the actual error.

      Does Apple Pay also charges something besides the 3.something% that Stripe also charges?
      Are there more charges to get the money transferred to our bank?

    The problem with using Stripe is they are well known to have overcharging and double charging issues. So if you use them, you better have a plan AHEAD OF TIME when (because this will happened without a doubt) your customers start complaining about being overcharged and double charging issues. Can't say you haven't been warned.

    • @peterseyfried
      @peterseyfried Před 7 lety

      Spike L. We had not a single case of overcharging in our 2 years of using stripe. Very smooth for buyers and sellers

      Just two people? That's real convincing. Smh. I've got proof just do a Google search for 'stripe overcharging' and see the thousands of people complaining about the overcharging Stripe does. Don't think for a second you're an exception. Of course, unless you are actually working for Stripe coming over here. I never stated I used Woocommerce, shopify or anything you've mentioned. So what the fuck are you talking about? I said it's well-known Stripe has an overcharging problem. That means many people complaining about it can easily be found doing a simple Google search on top of the many complaints you hear people sending directly TO Stripe about it. SO it's not like they don't know. They do. Don't take my word for it. Google many people complaining: www.google.com/search?q=stripe+overcharging - So if you really work for stripe, then fix your shit so people are no longer complaining about it.
      Some people had the same mindset as you do about it supposedly not happening to you but in regards to PayPal never freezing their accounts over BS until it happened to them. And they joined the several thousands of victims wishing they had listened to people who tried to warn them.
      So Peterseyfried and Matthew Kinneman, if you are not employees of Stripe or work for them in any way, and if this WELL KNOWN overcharging problem they have had for a long time has not happened to your customers, yet, then it's only a matter of time they become victims, too. And you'll remember my comment about it. What I'll simply say to you, I told you so. Again go here www.google.com/search?q=stripe+overcharging and look at all the complaints from people. Clearly it's a problem with Stripe who refuse to fix that common problem.

      @@mr.spikelove1860 that's because you are using Ajax requests and the user clicks the button multiple times. Just disable any events for X seconds after the button click. Stripe does exactly what it needs to do. Charge when clicking the button. Which is easy an amazing. You should be able to handle that error in like 45 secs of Js programming lol

    • @QUIQUELHAPPY

      Also had like 4.000 payments not a single one doubled. Only when I was testing and I figured out that was the problem
