My husband was an alcoholic, but he's been sober for years now, and I praise God! We had gotten so close to losing everything... He nearly died several times... we were homeless and felt like we had to live in a little camper through a very harsh winter, and our baby died of silent pneumonia... But God used our loss to get us to our knees and to stop playing church, and to seek HIM instead of religion. Now we are happy and blessed, with eternal purpose in our hearts and our hope in heaven. So, be encouraged, sir! Your every overcoming is worth so much to God and to all who love you! I hope you find your HIGH in LOVE and your ESCAPE in JESUS' ARMS!

10 years drug addiction, 4 years spent in prisons, today I'm 31 I'm clean it's christmas eve, I live in a sober house (I'm the asst manager here) Ive always loved God just needed to get back on track! Nomore prison drugs probation all GONE. My son is healthy (he's 13) lives with my mother. I'm working hard to get a car and make it back to him (they live a hour n half away) I also workout every other day at golds gym it helps my mental alot. Gotta stay strong. I know I'll be with my son one day soon. 😊

Way to go! I have a personal theory - not based on ANY science, but it works for me. Addictions are irradiated by a criteria of 3. The first 3 days (depending on the addiction you could start at 3 minutes, then 3 hours) I did nothing but cry. It was hell. A good thing to remember when you are tempted in the future. Do you want to go through that again? 3 months is a major graduation again. You are learning to live again! Next you will be at 3 years! I did fall after 3 years. What I learned then, was you are never out of the woods completely. Do not become complacent about your achievement or how deadly your addiction was. I am a different person than I was and cannot understand how I got there. I do know that my commitment to Jesus took me in the opposite direction. ❤️
I just turned 60 in Aug and the month of December I became severely sick I'm now in the hospital my kidneys have failed I have less than 5% function I start dialysis today they also found a tumor on my lung they did a biopsy on and I'm waiting on the results. I am going for a biopsy on my kidneys today before I start dialysis plz Peay for me. I'm also recovering from addiction to fentnal and heroin and narcotic pain pills that I got addicted to after a head on collision 20 years ago. Plz pray for my recovery of the all above

All my life u struggled w sin alcoholism,drug addiction, mental health,got sober finally only by the grace of God lost my son to an accidental death at 9 months sober I hurt so bad he was on his death bed in a coma I went to the alter and asked God to save me and bring my son back to me he saved me but not my son . From this I stayed sober only because I am building my relationship with the god of my understanding. I am still disappoint that he didn't bring my son back to me,but I m learning everything in god's world happens for a reason. My son's life is carried on through donating life back. This is still a struggle but if I trust God it will work out.
When David was losing his son, he grieved and prayed so much that people dare not tell him that his son died but when they did tell him, David said, I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me. This was David's consolation. God has your son safe in His arms and you will see him again when your time comes to go to be with him. God has saved you and your son and will hold you too, in His unending and eternal love. God bless and keep you safe and together with him, always and forever, walking in His light

I’m a witness of his love and his greatness! In 2020 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. God was with me through it all from adding my insurance on time, to my strength! I never doubt him that he was with me so much that the chemotherapy didn’t cause any problems or side effects like it normally does. Towards end I would even went cycling and hiking. Trust him and he won’t leave you forsaken!🙏🏻❤️

I couldn't tell you how many times but I know now he never gave up on me even when I gave up on him I'm glad I'm back on the right path
I watched the movie of this, I can 100% relate to Bart, the relationship with his dad and mine were almost exactly the same. Except I lived with my mother, my dad was abusive verbally and physically to me. He loved me, but his actions didn't reflect what he said. He over time established a relationship with God and things were better. He was a Vietnam veteran and Developed cancer from agent orange. I had to live with him and take care of him and we established a better understanding of one another during that time. He and I had a heart to heart, conversation one night. I apologized to him I told him that I was sorry that I wasn't what he probably imagined that a son would be. He told me he was proud of me and that I grew up to be just fine, out of a little bit of resentment I guess? I asked him why he always made me feel like I wasn't good enough, he told me that growing up he was abused that he never ever wanted to be that way to me, that he wussy he could go back and change it all. That is the moment that we made true peace with each other. I always loved my dad regardless, I looked up to him because he was always so strong and seemed to be able to never fail, but there were the bad times.. It hurt to watch him deteriorate, one thing that bothered me is he was so stubborn, and modest.. he lost strength in his legs.. well I had went to sleep and he wanted to get up without letting me know and he fell in the floor.. that is the moment that I truly broke.. after i checked to make sure he didn't break a hip or something.. I picked him up out of the floor like a small child and laid him back in his bed. He hated that I did that, afterwards I was like pops in gonna go outside and smoke a cigarette. I went outside and broke down, that was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. After that he had any 6 months left.. we talked laughed and cried together, we learned a lot about each other. There is no doubt in my mind off where he is... he told me one night.. he said, it's almost my time buddy, once I'm gone, when it's your time, I'm gonna try to be there to bring me my brother and sister home. I wish I could have had that version of my dad my whole life... he passed away 12/25/2016.
Giving all that, I can see where Bart was at when he wrote this. Even though it wasn't me, our stories are so similar, when iwatched the movie, it hit so close to home.
I doubt if he will ever see this, but I want to say thank you Bart, this song came out long before that ever happened, but this song makes me think about seeing my dad again, I wish that we had a window to look in to see what they see. I know that Jesus is my savior and God is my true father, but I can't wait for the day I can see my mom and dad again, and my loved ones that I miss so much.
I was living a life full of sin, I still do to a degree, but I am in my spiritual journey of making life right.. I have came a long long way, I want Jesus to welcome me, I don't want to be in front of him and him to turn me away and say be gone for I never knew you.

I'm just an ordinary woman, but I have Jesus in my life . Got to know Christ when young and baptised when I was 13... I have suffered with depression since that same age, and when already an adult and a mum, I backslid and it upset not only me but my family too. Although I got my faith back , I struggle with forgiving myself for years now. I know it's a process and I believe God can do all things and He has forgiving me. He has been giving me strength to deal with my daily battles, I know He's with me whatever life brings my way. I needed to go through this process to understand fully what it means to follow Him!!

I'm waiting to go into surgery for a small procedure and I'm all emotional, but this worship has calmed me. All praises 👏 to Jesus.
I have anxiety and in 2020 it got so bad to the point that I was unable to live a normal life, so I was put on medication. This medication was only meant to be taken for six months to a year, but I was on it for over two years. I have successfully weened off of it now, which I am very grateful for. Even though I am in a much better place than before, it has been rough without medication, so I would really appreciate some prayer in that area, and prayer for me to trust God with the future❤️

You got it brother! I was in your exact same situation, while on the job in the career that i loved my heart rate went up to dangerous levels as fast as the human heart can possible beat. I realize now now mankind doesn't have the cure the medications they gave me made me worse I even have permanent side effects from one of them. Mankind is the problem and the drugs only make it worse. We have to love Jesus not our careers. Nothing in this world compares to him!

When I prayed this EVERY time the accusations attack my mind and my internal peace, the attacks became fewer and farther apart.
God still brings this powerful little prayer to mind and it still works. Two days ago, I had to praise God; I realized that the guilt from one of my major failures was gone. God is good!

Attending meetings and engaging in activities to support my recovery from addiction has been essential for me; I've been clean for 2.5 years now. But along the way, I've lost my connection with God. In the early stages of my recovery, I placed my complete trust in a higher power, believing in its guiding force. However, that faith has dwindled, leaving me feeling adrift and struggling to navigate life's challenges.
One of the foundational steps in the recovery process emphasizes the importance of acknowledging a power greater than ourselves, one that can restore our sense of clarity and well-being. Another step encourages us to surrender our will and lives to the care of this higher power, as we understand it.
I crave this reconnection with God, but I'm uncertain how to reignite it. How can I restore this vital aspect of my journey toward healing and stability?"

Ive been a heroin addict for 11 years and I have been accepted today to go onto a buvadol programme where they inject me monthly to stop effects of heroin so this neans i get my life back,be more financially better off,have my family reunited,see my grandchildren what took 3 months to sort out took 1 day now tell me god aint great he is an awesome god i am blessed i became a Christian october 2023 amen bless the lord all my soul pure greatness anen 🙏🙏🙏

Jesus and His disciples were eating a Passover meal together at the Last Supper. After partaking of bread and wine (His body and His blood) , the Bible mentions the hymn Jesus sang with His disciples. “And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives” Mark 14:26. What were they singing on such an occasion? PRAISE! Psalms 113-118.
THE GOOD NEWS

Blood coming from his body, NAKED, hanging on that cross like Roman torture weapon! What a Lord God and Savior! He had to. HE is God the Son. Only His sinless blood could pay our sins price.1 John 2:1-2. The Savior was born to die for our sins so we could live through Him. He lives to make intercession for us by His blood in Heaven! Hebrews 4:14-16. See also 1 John 1:5-10 & Romans 5:8 below.

JESUS SAVES
God the Son (Jesus Christ) has given us the gospel to share with the world. Mark 16:15: "And He said unto them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."
How can we hear it? Scripture tells us. Romans 10:17 "Then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (We receive the "word" in many ways. The "Word" is Jesus Christ!); John 1:1-5. God the Holy Spirit teaches through the Word of God in the Bible.
The Birth of Jesus Christ
Isaiah 7: 14: "Therefore the LORD shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and call His name Immanuel." Hebrew: עִמָּנוּאֵל, "God with us" in human flesh but without sin. The Savior of the world was born to die for our sins! He did so 33 years later. His terrible ordeal; body mutilated; blood poured out, finally died (John 19:30; Luke 23:46 ) and was placed in a tomb and rose from the dead the 3rd day ! "HE IS RISEN" Matthew 28: 6.
Isaiah 53:" 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all." - IT IS FOUNDED UPON GOD'S LOVE FOR MAN AND WOMAN HE CREATED

THE PAYMENT BY HIS BLOOD FOR ALL SINS EVER!
Romans 5:8 " But God demonstrates his love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, now justified by his blood, we will be saved from wrath through him."
“For he (God) hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21.
Matthew 26: 28 "For this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." (the life is in the blood. He had to pay with His life)
"And according to the Law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness." Hebrews 9:22
BY GOD'S GRACE ALONE THROUGH FAITH ALONE IN JESUS CHRIST ARE WE SAVED
Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 not of works, lest any man should boast."
Jesus died and paid the penalty for our sins to rescue us from eternal death. He died on our behalf. We believe in Him, trusting His death and shedding His blood as payment for ALL our sins and His burial and resurrection from the dead the third day! John 20:24-31; 1 Corinthians 15: 3-4 above.
WHOSOEVER BELIEVES SHALL TESTIFY TO THE TRUTH
Romans 10:
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
TO DIE IS TO REJECT SALVATION IN JESUS CHRIST AND BE SEPARATE FROM GOD FOREVERMORE
Salvation and forgiveness of sins is the blessing of anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We receive the baptism of God the Holy Spirit immediately which seals us in Christ and that is permanent! Ephesians 1:13-14. Those who reject the free gift of salvation, see John 3:16 above, "perish", which means their sins are judged by God the Son and they suffer eternal separation from God and the family of God forever called the "second death". Revelation 21:8.
"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5: 1
