They are such an exceptional group of guys who just get it, and produce superb soundscapes, and long may they continue, and i'm a 60 year old music lover, but Mogwai just switch a light on.
Stuart is so talented yet incredibly down to earth. Some really great musicians in this band. Kind of missing Cat Myers who filled in admirably on last tour while lead drummer was sick
I find amusing that they've given a lapel microphone to Stuart, and the interviewer hasn't, thus he sounds like he's speaking from your neighbours bathroom behind a shower curtain.
Cheers for this post Mikey, well needed. Is it me or are there subtle differences between this and the BBC6 Music upload? Mix sounds very different on this, even though cameras are dollying around the same etc.
Nah, that's his Scots half-brother, Stuart explodes the universe and Stephen studied the end result...but it was their cousin Hamish that came up with the Big bang/Big sound theory

Another 60 year old here agreeing with you. Just saw them in glasgow they were superb
Come On The Young Team 😉🤘
As if age is a barrier to finding great music, I love what Mogwai do (oh alright then, I'm 73)
@@MartinBaldock Mogwai transcends age. This is modern classical music that is completely timeless and will endure forever (I hope).
Yesss, absolutely! To me, they are leveled with Pink Floyd, Sonic Youth and Nirvana for example... they are VERY good. And I know music... ;))
Superb group loved the theme music to the returned 🎶

These and Boards of Canada. Brilliant.
Damn ..this drummer kicks all asses in the world
Martin is a beast on the kit. I love his drumming so much.
A top top band,Mogwai are next level...........they are for the educated but also educate
thanks for the upload. much appreciated.
They are an exceptionally good band. Seen them live once and will go again. This performance is very, very good.
So beautiful! Thank you
First time I've heard "Supposedly, We Were Nightmares" (22:40). Really like it.
Heck! After Rave Tapes I fell out of touch, but damn these tracks are good! They got that driving groove back last track sounding like San Pedro!
The guitar melody at 24:35 is just bootiful
Really enjoyed this. Thanks!
Great set... Need more... Much more!
goosebumps
thank you!
bbc ftw
Superb post.... Much appreciated my friend
Hell yes. Thank you.
Thank you @mikeyhastle for posting this. Appreciate the session
Legendary band I love them
Legitimately didn't realise Here We Go, Here We Go Forever had vocals in it.
I find amusing that they've given a lapel microphone to Stuart, and the interviewer hasn't, thus he sounds like he's speaking from your neighbours bathroom behind a shower curtain.
Who likes Ryuichi Sakamoto?
So good professoinal music, music for dreams..
this for me will always remind me of 'the covid era' stark isolation
These guys are just a legend
Deadly👌👌
At 14minutes apprx there is something amazing happening ...

Wow, they played Here we, here we..!!
The BBC did have this on the iplayer too but it is/was only available there for a short time.
@@mikeyhastie Thanks for uploading it. :)
Seem to recall the drummer had a pacemaker years ago.
LADS STILL GOT IT
15.48..... Jazzmaster tone !
Can anyone tell me if that is INDEED Alex Mackay playing guitar on the left? Or someone else? Hard to tell with face coverings.
It's Scott Paterson who used to be in Sons & Daughters (the band not the TV show)
Thanks. I didn’t think it was Alex but again face coverings. I wish they’d make Alex a full fledged member. He’s amazing.
Whats the first track called?
Mogwai masked the moon drowned
Braw
Aye😉
18:41 Stephen Hawking?
Nah, that's his Scots half-brother,
Stuart explodes the universe and Stephen studied the end result...but it was their cousin Hamish that came up with the Big bang/Big sound theory
New drummer?
Original Drummer. He could't play the last tour so Cat Myers stepped in... and she did an amazing job!
@@stlegersamuel Oh I see! Thanks and yeah she played awesome!!
can't watch them play in those masks....jesus wept.
