*Works great my **Latest.Bike** I have a bad knee so I still get exercise but the bike assists me. I am a big guy so I didn’t think it would go as fast but it works great.*
This is a very good mini bike i have had it for about 6 months now and its very reliable will start up on first pull. The only problem i have had is that after about riding it for about 4 months the front bars detached so the next day i went in to lowes and bought 2 black steel bars for $8 then i went to a welder and he welded them on for me it only cost $40 and the next day i was riding it again its a great mini bike an highly recommend buying it, its only about $550 its great on steets grass rocks and surprisingly mud! took it out to Busco Beach here in NC and it was great definitely not a speed demon but gets the job done.
I had something like this when I was about... 10 or 12. I bought the frame and we mounted a 2HP Briggs on it when was scavenged from a reel type lawn mower. I probably weighed.... 130 then. I had a good bit of take off power as I had only a 9 tooth sprocket on the clutch. No governor, it'd probably do 20 MPH or so. The next summer, a friend who had a Go Kart and I mounted a 10HP Power Products 2 stroke which was then modified by porting it, mounting a Tillotson Carburator and a stroker crank on it which we got from Steens in CA. We were probably getting in excess of 15HP at 8K RPM, It was stoopid fast and I'm suprised to be still alive to write this. Don't try this a home. :-) Of course you will.......
You just need to keep the tires soft. Don't put too much air in them and you will get a softer ride. Out of the box they need air removed from the tires.
Nice video, I have two small washers along with the 2 large washers Do one of the small washers need to go at the very top of the Steering bolt before it goes through at the top
My front finder and rack were a challenge to put together, I had to bend the front lip of my fork to be able to completely screw on the nut to the finder
comes with all tools except one... Philips Head Screwdriver to adjust the governor/idol screw... we had to turn ours 1 full rotation to make it run smoother & quicker...
There's dozens of videos here on you tube concerning this subject. The engine is just a Honda clone. Videos on the predator governor removal are the same as this engine. Do so at your own risk. These engines were designed to run at no more than 3600 RPM's. When you rev them too high you risk breaking them with the possibility of injuring the rider with flying broken off engine parts.
Is there an alternative bike with similar specs and frame etc? I've been looking for one for several months. I can't buy this in Europe/Germany over the normal sites because they don't offer international shipping and I can't find it on Ebay or Amazon etc...
Hey Paul, What happens if you are missing parts when you get one of these? Ordering parts from Coleman is not a good customer experience. This is 2017. It should not take more than a week to get a part for one of these bikes. And if it's going to take longer they need to let the customer know via e-mail. At least give the customer an idea of when their parts will arrive.
Had mine two months already have clutch problems yes it's clean I have to carry a small can of oil with me to put on the shaft,,, any suggestions for a fix
Yeah. Stop using oil. Get a pair of snap ring pliers. Open up the clutch, clean the caged needle bearing on the clutch drum, then pack it with a high temperature automotive wheel bearing grease. Apply a generous amount of grease but don't overdo it. And do not take the clutch pack apart. My Coleman clutch has never seen a drop of oil.
I will be purchasing one of these pretty soon, but I can’t find anything online about the break in time, what is recommended at what rpms for oil break in?
bike is assembled, and when I start it, it lunges forward making me have to hold the break. this is my son's first minibike and I'm worried he'll hurt himself. how do I keep the bike from lunging forward when it starts? I've watched many videos where all the operator is doing is pulling the chord and it starts and idles without lunging.. need help! is this an adjustment that I missed? something to do with the throttle.. doesn't help that I'm mechanically ignorant.. lol
conrad johnson make sure you're not giving throttle just before starting. If that doesn't work you may need to turn your idle screw back a bit to make it idle lower. Keep me posted please
Sounds like the clutch should be replaced, its not disengaging completely. Or just run the crap out of it and maybe the clutch will eventually wear out enough for it to disengage properly.
Worse customer service ever I called many times about the warranty and they never got back to me I only got to ride it one time and it won't start now my warranty is up and I'm just really upset that they don't even want to get back to me I've called many times left voice-mails and even emailed them 😔
Can ya'll do a video on replacing the rear tire on the Coleman ct200u? The camouflage bike. I'm at home without my husband and I'm trying to figure it out and I dont want to mess up the bike.
Well done and thorough video! I wish I had found this video prior to setting up my new bike yesterday! Good job with the video! The place I bought it from in NYC banged and scraped it up badly while moving it around. Is there a place I can get the touch up paint or spray paint for the bike? Thanks.
pgtuber1- May I suggest, I've had mine for maybe 2months now. If you want to "Touch Up", the paint and body appearance. You can buy a roll of carbon fiber tape or colored, different designs of duck tape. Quite cheap! In my opinion gives it a realistic look! I mean you can get some decent car/auto touch up paint. My opinion is, if you don't have patience and you're not precise. It'll look cheap and CORNY! You can't go wrong with the tape! I designed mine to look like IronMan! I mounted on a halloween IronMan mask in between the handles. And purchased gold duck tape for about $3.25! Wrapped various pieces on different places of the bike! Also I bought 2 LED mini bicycle light from the dollar store and secured 1 in each eye lid of IronMan's eye sockets! I don't think there has been a time thus far In. 2 months that I haven't broken the necks of everybody that sees me ride by! I get Complements from little kids, all the way up to 90year old men and women! If you'd like to see a picture to get an idea just E-MAIL me or respond to this. I'll be glad to show you and give you some ideas and advise. BTW you don't have to use the IronMan design if you don't want to. Although your more than welcome to! Enioy, BUDDY!
Chain on the CT200U I bought keeps breaking the link. 3 have broken and I have adjusted it 1/2" to 3/4" play like the instructions state What is wrong ?
That's not fun. It is possible that the alignment between the large rear sprocket and the sprocket on the jackshaft may not be correct. If you have a suitable straight edge this can be corrected. If it is noticeably incorrect loosen the 4 engine mounting bolts and move the engine around until you get near perfect alignment. Make a note of the engines mounting position as it relates to the slots on the engine pan. Keep it near it's original position. This adjustment is best completed with the chain off and out of the way.
When I was a kid, we had something like this powered by a 2HP Briggs from a reel-type lawn mower. It did just fine as I recall. A friend had one with a 4HP engine; you needed to HOLD ON when it took off. This is 6.5HP, do the math.
+Thomas well I guess it depends on your size but I would hit 15 on the stock motor, and a little tampering with the governor and spring I can hit 19 mph
Doubt it. With the stock gearing the engine will never turn the RPM's needed to reach 50 mph. Besides, anything over 90 octane is a waste of money and will do nothing to help the engine.
@@Deucealive75 i use octane booster plus premium 93 gas on my mmb105 it defiantly helps i use to not be able to get up a big hill now i can easily plus i bought a performance exhaust
@@conner5611 Interesting. An octane rating is just an index of a fuel's ability to resist knock. I don't know about your 105cc engine but unmodified 196cc engines are only around 8.5/1 compression and don't need high octane fuel. People associate high octane fuel with performance. The reason being that many performance engines have high compression ratios and need higher octane fuels. In theory your engine should not need high octane but if it works for you, then great. Is it possible that the bump in power you are seeing is from the performance exhaust?

these are 6.5 hp BRIGGS engines.
governor limits speed to 20-25mph, lots of torque though. ungoverned these can go 40+mph easy.
