    There are a lot of Chinese branded Oetemu mechanical keyboards on Amazon that go for cheap. I personally bought a Velocifire full size keyboard with browns for about $50 and it's been working well for 7 months so far, and it's also heavy like the Apecha was. Red Dragon seems to be the most bought Chinese brand so you can't go wrong with them.

  • @MrOllitheOne
    @MrOllitheOne Před 3 lety +7

    I've been using the Acepha keyboard for about 3 years now. It honestly bought it because i was looking for a mechanical keyboard and i thought the RGB-Overload was hilarious (still think it is, plus you can switch it anytime off no problem).
    It cost me decent bit more than what is mentioned in the video, but it still was relatively cheap and turns out that for my taste the keys are a lot better than many of expensive ($100+) mechanical keyboards i tested in stores. And to this day its still running strong, no broken keys or lighting no paint coming off, so in hindsight i think it was really worth its money. You can customize the lighting to a certain degree (highlighting certain key's or preprogrammed patterns), but if custom programming is something you're looking for you maybe should consider something else.

    those are the newer outemu blues in the mech keyboard. Some of the people in the mech keyboard reddit say they actually prefer outemu blue over cherry mx blue, but I haven't tried both yet so I don't know. The hot swap used in the outemu boards only work with outemu because of the tight fit and most other manufacturers using thicker solder pins so they don't fit.

  • @RealLockheedMartin
    @RealLockheedMartin Před 4 lety

    That last keyboard is pretty sick. I'm pretty sure those are Outemu Blues. They're one of the switch manufacturers that have started making them with those sliders. The hotswap sockets look like the same kind of Outemu-exclusive ones that show up on some Redragon models. You COULD fit any switch onto it, but they're designed for Outemu only and you'd need to file down the contact pins a bit to make them fit. Luckily, Outemu actually makes two switch types that are actually not clones and worth buying: Outemu Ice and Sky. The Skies are one of my favorite switches of all. With this board, sure, you're not getting metal construction or good keycaps (or taste tbh), but it's such a stupid value. If you wanted to dip your toes into customization, you could get some decent Tai-Hao caps, some Ice or Sky switches, and then mask off the key sockets and spray paint the board to something nicer looking. The cool thing is you don't even need to change the switches: Outemu switches aren't Gateron or Kailh BOX quality, but their Blues are perfectly fine for beginners. It's crazy.
