    I like this idea up to the point where you 1. Mount it up on the wall instead of on the floor and 2. Continue to use the hazardous aluminum corregated hose. Switch it out to a solid metal run and eliminate need for lint to fly upwards by putting the unit on the floor again.

      Good points but the instructions were for the unit to be wall mounted.

    I might have to get this. My dryer will be in the basement but right next to my back door that also has a security door. I could just leave the security door open when the dryer is running so the moisture goes outside! Thank you!!

    Nivea video. I'm curious how you clean the dryer vent filter or is it tossed and replaced?

      @@judevivier153 No, just when the flap raises on the top of the vent. In my case it was probably around 4 months before I changed the filter.

      I have an outside dryer vent up high on the wall. I plan to install one of these over it. In the summer I'll remove it and vent to the outside.

      It’s terrible. We had something similar and it allowed so much moisture in our garage to get trapped and it was making everything wet

      All that moisture goes in your house or garage and fucks it up. Vent outside people

      Heat wasn't a problem but moisture was. We put a dehumidifier next to the washer/dryer to deal with the moisture.

      I'm doing it to get the heat in winter. In summer I can vent to outside.

      It can only be used for electric dryers, gas dryers produce carbon monoxide, which can kill you

      Electric only. The instructions say that and also, a gas dryer need to vent out because of carbon monoxide.

      I agree, but in my case there was no way to vent the dryer outside. I ended up getting a dehumidifier to deal with the moisture.

      I'm in Colorado. Any extra moisture is welcome any time of year. As for smell, freshly laundered clothes smell good.
