Like many people pointed out you can actually break bedrock. People use that to create a hub of portal to move in the overworld safe from mobs and without having to traverse the terrain. Of course you have to then mess with the portals be you will end up in the air.

Actually it is posible to break Bedrock in survival. But it takes a completely different set up then what you used.
The computer actually works with any normal hostile mob
It is possible to break bedrock in survival with some glitches, but it normally is only the block above or bellow. You can look into there is whole forums dedicated to it.

That crawling features has been in Java edition (sadly not bedrock) for ages along with if you sneak you can walk through a 1.5 block gap
The crawling feature is in bedrock, you just have to exit water while in a one block tall gap
