- Q;What is GPON?
Gigabit passive optical Network where Data can be transmitted in Gigabit per second rate and for uploading stream it's 2.488Gigabit per second and for downloading it's 1.44Gigabit per second.
GPON includes passive devices like splitters ,optical distribution frames .
ODF is used for fiber termination and fiber inter connections where as Splitters is used to split single fiber into multiple fibers .One PON port of GPON can give connectivity to 64 customers.
Q: What is VFL ,OTDR, Optical power meter?
VFL is visual fault locator used to trace fibers in a optical distribution Hub.
OTDR is used to check the distance of exact fault of fiber cut .
Optical power meter is used to check the power of fiber optics in dBm.
Q: What is the work principal of Fiber optics?
Ans: Total internal reflection.
Q: What is GPON OLT?
Ans: It converts electrical signal into optical signal and give connectivity to optical Network Unit through PON ports.

Where do you place ODF in street cabinet or inside building? 2ndly you are splicing fiber with all available fiber or just as per user number
Two types of ODF
(1) ISP ODF
(2) OSP ODF
Both are in same place at site ,but from OSP ODF fiber is going outside like under ground or pole to pole . Fibers splicing done as per port connectivity or customer availability as we assigned different ports to different business customer and transmission links are connected on it .

You can connect directly also ,but different operators have different quality standard procedures which you have to follow up.
Please also answer these question 🙏Fiber coming from olt is how many core how manu users olt support and how many fiber spliter splits and how many users onu support for FTTH and speed for each users max network service is 20km? Please answer this query 1 by 1.

Can we terminate SMF to CAt6A are we doing this ISP part with SPF or from ONT to router with CAT6A they asked me this question
@Telecommunications Training portal so from ONT fiber will go switch electric ports with SFP and All KSA for GPON and Ftth we only used SMF or we do use MMF
