The first guy "Still not banned" is why I had to stop playing Rust all together. Nobody seems to get banned and the ones who do just hop on a new account and go ham again. Endless.... Thanks for the good work though and helping like you do. I just wish more people who fight the good fight too.
imma be honest, I was playing hard up until about 4 months ago and took a break. Came back and I am getting cheaters every server I join its a joke. This game is not even fun anymore
I would personally ban those cheaters for life. No mercy

@@PhantomPanic Most companies that do most of their business on the internet (game devs, streaming services, etc.) have the ability to hardware ban people. That means their servers detect the hardware the persons computer or what not has and denies access to the service, it would basically force the banned person to get all new hardware to get access again. Granted that isn't a guarantee people won't come back, but it would seriously cap the number of repeat offenders because most people can't just replace their computer or whatever, and it would seriously extend the time between getting banned and regaining access for repeat offenders that can afford it as they would, most likely, have to order their hardware online as most electronics stores, at least in my area, don't carry gaming hardware anymore.

I’m over 50 and I love to play rust with my kids.I have met a lot of people saying how cool it was that I play rust with my kids. They also say that they wish their dad would play with them.

You need a script that makes them unable to do anything but run around screaming in game with their hands up, then just leave them that way for people to run around and practice their aim on.

some cheats are "streamproof" where they run on a external application window and overlay the game. If you were to share your rust in discord, it would be impossible to see the cheats. (assuming their are streamproof)
It's still weird how many idiots still cheat on this game. You'd think they just give up by now.

First time watching an admin upload his gameplay for Rust. cheaters make this game so unfun. I'm just trying to build a fort and hang out with my homies and then a cheater has to go and make things unfun.

I don't like the idea of him banning players for just exploiting a minor map glitch with their base. Destroying the base and issuing them a warning would have been sufficient.
"Still not bans" was explained by an (ex) Blizzard dev. They do ban waves to help prevent knowledge being leaked to the cheater on WHAT exactly got them. Same how camomo doesn't explain how he himself caught them. Its a shitty aspect in the eyes if the player but it does seem to work to help prevent the progression of super powerful and hard to detect cheats
He explained just how ignorant he was. Time is not the only method to test but number of accounts. Ban waves only generate a guarantee of profitability. Not surprising as it is coming from a blizzard dev with such a poor track record.
Blizzard has not invested in its anti cheat in over a decade and ignores goldfarming and botting completely.
That ex blizzard dev in question is an incompetent buffoon at best.
Afaik facepunch doesn't work with the ban wave system though. Most cheaters that are caught are immediately banned and announced. Working with a Blizzard like ban wave system and getting rid of cheaters every 6 months or whatever would be extremely bad for the player base anyway. Even waiting hours or days for cheaters to get banned might feel like an eternity. So if they let them roam for months, no one would play Rust anymore.

Well, that will require the admin to rebuild the barrel wall to eliminate the opening they found.
But he will have reported it to the server owner and they can literally derez and regenerate the terrain if it comes to it.

Your a server administrator and able to catch all these cheaters (fair play) but why are there not more admins,1000s of them not putting videos up to make money via views? Why is it only a handful of admins that do this? Do cheaters only come to your server or do you have your friends to pretend they are cheating just for content? Where is all the other admins making cheater videos as consistent as your servers? Content? Friends? Surely other admins could make ad money doing the same but its only the mainstream youtubers that seem to get so many "cheaters " friends etc to make content...why do you specifically have more cheaters than anyone else?
