  • This continuation of "Narcos" explores the origins of the modern drug war by going back to its roots, starting at a time when the Mexican trafficking world was a loose, disorganized confederation of independent growers and dealers. It's the 1980s, and Felix Gallardo takes the helm of the Guadalajara Cartel, unifying traffickers to build an empire. As DEA agent Kiki Camarena moves his wife and young son from California to Guadalajara to take on a new post, he learns his assignment is more challenging than he imagined. A tragic chain of events unfolds as Camarena gains intelligence on Gallardo and becomes more entangled in the mission.

One of my favourite scenes out of a packed bunch of great scenes. Felix realised after Kiki that he was still getting fucked around by the government just like when he was poor, so what does he do? Cry? Bitch and moan?
No…he makes himself so powerful that they literally CAN’T fuck him around anymore.
    Great scene

The first two seasons of Narcos: Mexico was the best season of all Narcos seasons. So much Godfather vibes. Loved it.

Especially the threat of withdrawing so much billions of dollars to cause the Mexican economy to collapse.

I'm always distracted by his perfect hair and beautiful suits it sounds trivial but I haven't seen a real life narco with good hair or clothes, the real Felix, chapo, Pablo etc etc have bad hair and tasteless clothes yet the narcos Felix looks like a photoshoot for GQ magazine. Apart from that minor gripe brilliant series perfectly acted and written and directed

I noticed that too. The series is a heavily glamourized version of these people. In real life, they were and are a bunch of disgusting hoodlums.

Actually the real Felix wore the best Italian and Italian/Jewish Mexican tailored suits money could buy. IE tailor's in Mexico City that used English and Italian cloth and were the local elite frequented.
Amado wore Armani for every day and Brioni etc for formal business.
They dressed as good as old fashioned Italians.
