**for my english speaking friends this video has subtitles :)
It's officially been 7 months since I began my time as an Au Pair here in Germany. So far it's been going great, with many ups, but also downs. I've learned a lot and experienced a lot. One would think that after all this time, I'd have some pretty good german skills, so I decided to put them on show by making a video where I only speak German (deutsch). Well, not really. Actually my host family likes to watch my youtube videos, and my host kid doesn't speak English, so she asked me to create a video in german. And here we are.
Also, if you are a native german speaker please excuse my 1 million mistakes ahhhh cringing.

Was war für dich am nützlichsten? Lingoda, Hilfe von dem Gastkind, Hilfe von der Eltern oder Gespräche mit Au Pairs? Das ist für mich interessant

Ich fand Lingoda am nützlichen, um neue Wörter und Sätze zu lernen. Aber, was ich auch wichtig und nützlich finde, ist einfach zu üben. Sprechen mit meinem Gastkind hilft viel.

how did you learn german?

I did an A1 course with the Goethe Institut online from Nov 2021 - Feb 2022 to prepare for my time as an au pair in Germany, and then whilst in Germany, I have been doing online classes with Lingoda. Speaking German everyday has probably helped me a lot with my german learning also. 🤍
