  • The New York Times did NOT ask Kimberly for her top ten when they made their list--but here they are! Picking ten was no easy feat. So there are five runners-up. She also assumed it would be impossible to RANK the top ten, but in a spur-of-the-moment, game-time decision, she attempts it. Listen up to see how your favorites compare!

Love it - perhaps it is difficult to imagine someone in 1924 saying, "I think this should be the best book of the 20th century" but we'll take that under advisement while enjoying the rest.

Isn't that the truth!!?? But I really did enjoy thinking this through. Particularly trying to rank the top ten. It seemed so unclear but when I held two in front of me it was SO clear.

Someone you know well was responsible for this list. I totally forgot I said I would do it!

Hmm. A fair few books I haven't read, one I have but wasn't impressed by (Lincoln), one I liked a lot but need to go back to (Foster) and one I LOVED (Ducks, Newburyport). And one which was a slight surprise given the rest of your list (Circe - which I've also read, and and enjoyed). What does this say about whether your channel will be a good place to get recommendations? I suppose I'll have to stick around and find out...

I like to think there's a pretty broad swath of stuff on the channel! At the moment I'm prepping both Slaughterhouse-Five and the Elin Hilderbrand beach-read adaptation by Netflix. Also, of course, these things are intensely personal. Thank GOD there are so many books to choose from!
