Woman assaulted in Cocke Co. Jail by officer warns that problems persist, danger still lingers

The woman was lifted up by an officer at the jail and thrown into a cell, resulting in a missing tooth and bruises.

It is the very same in Sevier County Jail and people are dying all the time with no one caring.. alot of wrongful deaths from being inside the Sevier County Jail.... And the courthouse and DCS all need a surprised visit from the TBI OR THE INSPECTORS.!! it's horrible

From what I saw she was trying to explain she had covid and the officer had an attitude and was in the wrong. Yes it's jail and no it's not the Hilton. Inmates/prisoners still retain basically rights. This was clearly wrong.

I’m so sorry you had a tough time in jail. But the reality is Cocke County is a lawless place and as a result the jails are packed there. You keep voting Republican Tennessee and I’m sure sure or later you’ll see some changes sooner or way later
