How to fold down the Ford Capri convertible roof.

I couldn't fold the roof down on my recently acquired Ford Capri convertible, tried folding it down several times but it didn't look right and the cover couldn't be closed. I tried searching google and watching CZcams videos on the subject but was not able to find any instructions. After speaking to several people the mystery was solved so I decided to make this video to help others. Please like and share.

Excellent Video! Thank You! After purchasing our '94 Capri a couple of years ago, we asked a few car dealer friends of ours, and no one knew how to work the top. Wife finally found it explained online, and away we went!

When the tops were made there were pair of elastic bands built into the fabric of the roof which pulled the bar into the correct position for folding however when the tops got older the elastic perished so now we all have to do it by hand.

still have the bands there - they are so fatigued that they don't do the job. Same thing - do it by hand - works fine. Don't want to burst anyone's bubble but had the same issue with my top the first time - looked at it and got it folded 30 seconds later. Brought mine home in February - went for a ride in the snow with the wife - heater full blast - was OK. Only about a 10 minute ride around a large block
