Just bought this one today, read the directions but a video goes a long way. Thanks it was a great video and showed me the over spray. The deck I am doing is close to my wife's plants we moved them temporary.
I also just picked one of these... couldn't be happier. For the price...GREAT investment.
nice! showing us how avanti includes accessories to determine the paint's viscosity is really helpful. now i know that if i buy this (just getting started looking) determining the viscosity won't be a big deal. thanks!

I painted my buddy's single wide mobile with this gun. Im not a profeesional by all means, but i got compliments left and right on the look of the house,. Even a neighbor came by and asked how much i charged, no shittin. This is a good gun if u dont have big money to spend. It paints good enough if your not too anal about being perfect. I highly recommend it. Just make sure u properly thin it out.

Does anyone know why this is marked for stuff like decks, fences, trim, and doors and not for regular interior house painting?

I grabbed one to use while I shop around for a new compressor to run my air paint guns, put some thick stain in it and damn did it work well. REALLY well. I'll be seeing how it sprays single stage tractor paint in a few weeks.
Also, that clear cup is called a viscosity cup.
Did you try it yet? It's what I'm about to use it for. Trying to figure out how much I need to thin it.
@@willhall7777 it comes with a viscosity cup and a guide that tells you the guns "sweet spot". This thing has become my primary spray gun. Over spray is A LOT but it puts out such a consistent mist that I just deal with it and over do it on putting up plastic. I've painted a few excavators, a wheel loader, 2 cars with single stage tool and implement paint, stained a ton of subwoofer enclosures, it's worked flawlessly.
@@willhall7777 for single stage paint you've gotta back the needle off and just barely have it open, it's a HUGE needle and it's tricky to get the right pattern at first. Definitely do a lot of practice runs first. It's nothing like spraying with an HVLP gun or an automotive syphon gun, you have to relearn anything you know. It's totally worth it in the end though.
@@casey360360 thank you for responding! When your say "back the needle off" with this gun are you talking about the dial behind the trigger that does a fine mist rather than heavy? Also did you thin your tractor paint? I already thinned it a little with LR-12... It was recommended to me by the place we got the paints. I've sprayed it already and it did okay. I'm used to seeing powder coating and this had an orange peel look. After a few minutes it smoothed out some but I almost think I didn't need to thin it with the electric gun. It's doing better than I thought it would though so that's a huge plus. Like your situation 10 months ago my compressor also is being repaired... In the middle of a painting job it tore up so I'm using this as a temporary way of replacing my air sprayed guns. I'm not a pro at any of this stuff. I'm an aluminum fabricator and aluminum welder... Painting is completely new.
@@casey360360 just seen your first comment. So you think even while using tractor paint, using the Rust-Oleum brand that I should still thin it using the cup as a guide for how much to thin it?

I bought this with a Warrenty thank god but I don’t want to return it but fix it or figure out what I’m doing wrong. There’s over splatter and I don’t know why? Can anyone here help please? I’m assuming I’m doing something wrong and need help please

does it come with different tips? Can you adjust the nozzle to control the width of the spray??
you can adjust from horizontal to vertical to cone spray only. I'm not sure the exact measurements of the spray but it's fairly good.
I have a question for you? Can i use exterior satin enamel paint for this gun. After you dilute the paint. And also what should i use to dilute the paint...thinner what kind od tinner? Or just add water. Would you let me know please ok. Thanks

I used it today with transparent stain.
It drips too much on each trigger .
Maybe for substance more consistant such paint but for stain it did not work for me at all.
I put it aside after 5 minutes did the staining with a rug anf brush.
Do you use white vinegar/paint thinner to clean the machines internal components after use so it does not get clogged up?

Great video.. I will be doing my fence as well. How long would you say you can spray before needing to refill the cup? And how much stain did you need (gallons)?
I bought this 5 gallon clear stain: czcams.com/video/61_S2rHPCVU/video.html I definitely didnt use it all. I'd say close to 10-15 feet of fence before refill.

@@productreviewsbyclarystudi2854 doesn't matter if it is water based once the over spray ahs dried on the neighbors window. Spraying in close proximity to neighbors house is just fing stupid period. Had a neighbor doing the same thing and got white overspray all over my new truck from 8 ft away!
