What a brilliant and insightful...and kind man he was....may he be at peace.❤
I love this and listeming to JD is amazing and the way he speaks of Zachary is so wonderful! I Wish I had the chance to meet him, shake hands and tell him how much I love him and listening to him sing RIP John You are so missed and loved
I absolutely love this! What a sweet kind and loving person.I wish I was one of his friends.Such wisdom!!
And who, at almost 34, has got that sort of wisdom! He was one of a kind.
John’s Music and just listening to him in public, interviews like this just gave me a “Right” warm feeling.
The way he is himself and that gives me the ok to just be me.
What a wonderful, precious and fantastic interview ! It just made me love him even more ! I can listen to him all day.
He's so gorgeous charming and interesting. ❤❤❤❗
True!
This is just Gorgeous!! Thank you, thank you, for bringing back this precious interview!!!!!
Thank you JDHTOE! He made such a huge impression on millions of us with all he did in and for the world. What an extraordinary man he was, our John. And didn't he sing at the Carlsons' wedding? I didn't realize it was Nancy Carlson who made that shirt.
Yes, he did sing at their wedding. There's a clip of it in a 1988 interview.
I remember that Newsweek article very well (still have a copy) and how angry it made me feel. I don't think I ever saw John talk about it before, so thanks for sharing!
Oh gosh the Newsweek article. I often wondered if that helped to kill his career. It was awful. Maureen Orth really did a number on him. She made him out to be a vacuous airhead, something he was not. It also seemed to take umbrage with his New Age leanings. I remember it mentioning weird things like the fact that Annie went to a health farm. It was an absolute skewering. Don't know why she decided to treat him like that.
Probably why he changed allowed interview formats to be only direct quotes from Q & A sessions.
@@scattysafari7742 you might be right. And the reported gas tanks killed it the rest of the way.
