When you get to erect in the saddle the horse will think you are wanting him to stop or slow down go thru the rounding of the barrel with him ! Rounding posture is everything…

I’ve watched barrel racing before and i’d have to say i’m a fan of amber Leigh snider! Badass female rider who got seriously injured after an accident but then fought to get back on her horse

If you "think" the horse is being abused, it's because you don't know. Have you ever had a dog that would do anything to please you? The bond between horse and rider is cultivated over years. All I can say is "you don't know what you don't know"!

Love horses but I hate when people whip their horse and mistreat them. While I understand it may help them win, would whipping you while racing make you go faster?
A lot of times when a horse knows its job, such as running barrels, you don’t really have to hold your reins. In cases like this, the horse is just absolutely zooming, and it takes a LOT of core strength to hold yourself in that saddle around those turns. Nothing wrong with grabbing the horn because that horse knows what it’s doing

There are no bruises 3.if u say a whip is abusive then so are spurs 4.if u say a whip is abusive then so are bits 5.if the whip really hurt the horse, why does the horses go into the arena so easily 6.some horses run faster when u use the whip and some don’t, learn ur horse. 7. it does make them bleed sometimes. you can't see bruises on a horse that easily... they certainly exist. horses have more nerve endings and thinner skin than we do - making them feel more pain than we do. now imagine someone kicking you like that and whipping you like that. it DOES hurt, quite a lot. why does the horse go into the arena? might wanna look up what learned helplessness is, there are several experiments on that... this comment is so utterly stupid I'm actually surprised

Nothing like the craftsmanship of a saddle for me sexy, as hell to watch, beautiful woman, spread her legs and sit on the saddle. I have a brand-new saddle never sat on, somebody took it from the bar and I intend on finding it and taking it back/just because I haven’t been able to find it does it mean I don’t want it or it’s not mine I feel like busting into every bar, I see, but I don’t wanna end up in jail, but when I understand and find out where it is I’ll be able to walk right into it Just because I haven’t been able to find it does not mean I don’t want it❤ so I don’t get comfortable
I used to barrel race for many..many years. Not once did I hit or whip my horses...and we still won 🎀 💰💰
Same with me. Either way even if I did want to do it (which I don’t) my horse is terrified of the sound and the whip because he was abused by it😢
