    Well said! How she worded it was awful! These kinda people will NEVER understand the TRUE REALITY of the REAL WORLD. They have literally based their careers on the 'sex sells" and they have capitalized on that. It was just pure luck that it worked really well for them. They are just so gross and the narcissism in the family is appalling.

    The thing that got me was when she told people to not work on toxic work environments while also telling people to work. Does she not realize that in the real world every work environment (at least most of them) are pretty damn toxic, but we still deal with it.

    Before speaking on someone else’s situation, please live through their world first. That’s my advice to Kim, especially speaking in the whole country‘s women who are overworked underpaid living in poverty rent never paid on time because of late checks or low income family lack of benefits needing assistance for children jobs don’t pay well even when you have a masters degree, not everyone wants to be a media personality so we get jobs based off of our interests and passion if y’all wanted to be where you were then yeah we make moves like that but unfortunately everyone has a love for something and we’re not gonna sell our souls just to be rich it’s should be about what we love to do, if you love to be a teacher you’ll never make as much as you make Kim, should we just do what you do and not be teachers because of the money, maybe the government should pay teachers a lot more than they do they’ve lost a lot of their lives during Covid but I don’t see you preaching to them I see you’re preaching to the whole country about being lazy and not working, maybe you should get a reality check instead of your nine figure reality show

    The way she worded it and the fact that it came from her ( someone who has no idea how the REAL world actually works for people who dont have rich parents in the first place) is not right. The backlash is understandable, she should have acknowledged the fact that she had a pretty wide headstart then "worked" for it afterwards.

    Honestly, I’m not even a fan of the Kardashians and don’t watch their show, but I think Kim was probably thinking of other rich people when she gave this advice because that’s probably who she is surrounded by. Maybe she was talking about rich people who inherited wealth from their families but don’t have successful businesses on their own because they don’t work hard. However, her advice came across as very tone-deaf because it ignores the majority of people who don’t have family wealth and work very hard every day and still don’t see success because hard work alone is not enough.

    I see both sides of this. On one end, I have seen people who just don’t work or want to work and expect the world handed to them. Kim is definitely able to influence some of them and is in good position to. (Many influencers do not encourage this.) Although I do feel she needs to encourage smart work as well.
    On the other hand, a single KarJenner member can make more money on one passive venture than most people individually will earn actively in a lifetime. It does appear insensitive in this regard because a lot of their money is earned passively and not from direct work.

    It’s really sad to me that we can all agree they’re out of touch and maybe not the best to give advice, and a lot of people really don’t like them, but then everyone is about to run to Hulu and tune in. This is why good people don’t thrive in our society, they don’t get multi million dollar show deals, they don’t get talked about on our news channels. We’re too busy praising people that think they’re better than everyone else. I for one won’t be keeping up with the kardashians. They’ve always seemed like mean people who would rather care for themselves than others. Kim’s comment really showed that. So out of touch that it’s not even funny.

    • @paigeseuthegmailcom
      @paigeseuthegmailcom Před 2 lety +1

      We let them get away with insensitive comments when we tune in to watch. They don’t care if people are shit talking, as long as they’re watching. Stop watching people. If you want the reign of the kar-jenners to end, just stop watching their show, stop buying their products. But people still line up for all that.

    Why We Do Need So Many People in the World
    At the start of the 20th century, the world population was roughly two billion people. Today, it is roughly eight billion. Of those eight billion, most are poor, and over a billion people are hungry to the point of starvation. Providing for so many people at a decent level seems too formidable a task for Earth. Moreover, each day, more bots, robots, and automatic machines are replacing human jobs. Humanity is producing enough to provide for everyone, so the question is why we need so many people. Would Earth, and humanity, not be better off if we were only four billion, for example?
    The truth is that we wouldn’t be better off; we would be much worse off. There is a good reason for the exponential growth in humanity’s population over the past century or so.
    When we look at people, we see faces and bodies, human beings, and nothing more. But the truth is much more complicated and intricate than that. Try to imagine any animal without relating it to its environment, and you will realize that it is a lost cause. The shape, color, behavior, size, longevity, and every other aspect of its existence derives from the environment where it exists. Animals are not isolated from their environment; they rely on it, follow its laws, and at the same time make up the environment that sustains them and of which they are a part.
    Humans, too, make up a system. We think of ourselves as isolated individuals, but we are actually parts of a global human society. We influence it, it influences us, and almost everything that is true for the animal kingdom is true for us.
    There are only two differences between animals and people, though they are fundamental differences. The first is that people are inherently mean and selfish, while animals are not. The second is that our desires grow and intensify, while those of animals remain largely the same. While we want more money and power the more we have of them, animals settle for what they have once they have had their fill.
    Worse yet, from generation to generation, we are becoming more greedy, domineering, and narcissistic. Conversely, animals’ “aspirations” do not change from generation to generation: Give them enough grass, or enough game, and they are happy campers.
    The reason why our desires grow while those of animals remain the same is that an increased desire makes us accelerate our development. Eventually, humans are not intended to perceive only the physical existence, but to penetrate through it and perceive the connectedness and interdependence among all of us not only intellectually, as I am explaining it here, but in the senses, just as we perceive the physical world, if not more so.
    Our constant desire to search, explore, discover, and learn stems from our aspiration to know the deepest levels of reality. That knowledge is the sole prerogative of humans since only people develop such profound desires.
    As our desires grow, we must learn to direct them toward discovering the purpose and structure of life. New desires first appear on the crassest level, and we must cultivate them, raise them to the level where they enhance our perception of reality.
    Because these desires are so intense, we need more people to “share the load.” As just said, although we feel isolated, we are in fact one system. Everything we think is ours is actually part of the system of humanity and all of humanity shares it. Therefore, our desires are also not personal, even though they feel as such.
    Every time we elevate one desire from the corporeal level to the higher levels of perception, we influence all of humanity. And every time a person dies, the burden of elevating our common desire grows heavier on all of us.
    This is why the life of every person is precious. It determines the pace of advancement of all of humanity. If we realized how deeply we are connected, and what harm we cause by mistreating other people, if we felt it as it really is-that we are torturing ourselves-we would not dare mistreat each other or leave one person uncared for.

    Of course I can understand the criticism of Kim from that angle, but I really think she was referring not to "working class" but to "business women." The question was along those lines. I think there's been a bit of a misinterpretation to generate a revolt over something that wasn't that problematic to be honest.

    Technically, she’s not wrong. Many people are choosing to sit on their butts, collect unemployment, and not working.
    I wish there were more focus on blue collar jobs though because we wouldn’t have survived this pandemic without truck drivers.

    I think Kim K spoke facts. She said alot of other good advice about women in business. She's the ultimate hustler and go getter. She doesn't sit on a throne telling people to eat 🍰 cake. Everyone is too sensitive, her advice wasn't out of touch.

    • @courtneyw6224
      @courtneyw6224 Před 2 lety +3

      I mean does she know why many may not want to work sometimes right? She is just saying "work" without asking "why do some women not want to work?" She would get the answer very quick. And this woman made great points as well.. having bosses that disrespect and won't pay you a good amount while expecting you to come back the next day. Only getting so much time off after birthing a child, while Kim has nannies and everyone around her. She isn't doing this alone like other women.. she has all the help in the world and gets a huge paycheck. So her businesswomen speech is falling on dead ears of women that feel like they are doing it by themselves and didn't start off with money like her
