I can only smile to see this video spring Gfriend's "Apple" onto us after your last viewing of "Me Gustas Tu" before. I still remember how dumbfounded I felt when I first watched "Apple" from Gfriend and my head didn't stop spinning for three days 🙂
Gfriend's journey from their early days of Powerful Innocence to the ending image of "liberating witches" is jarring yet instructive on the path of growth for each person. Only I wish for all the members continuing success and personal happiness in the craft they chose to pursue.

Thank you for watching. We will be watching more Gfriend as well as VIVIZ, Yuju's and Yerin's solos probably too. Our culture is not really big on cuteness in Asian sense or chilldlike-ness, so Kay's original reaction was very expected to me, but as I am the one who picks what we watch I have the chance to slowly get her used to the concept so she can get past it to enjoyment. Mixing BGs and GGs, other concepts and current content should do it.
Niicee.. hope u can also check out their most succesful song, 'Rough'. Rough is one of gfriend's most iconic songs that represents their signature sound known as 'orchestral pop' or what kpop fans currently call 'christians horse girl' or smth like that 😄
Rough is absolutely going to happen, frankly most Gfriend title tracks will. This is where I flex my picking powers....! I think that the orchestral side and the electric guitar solos are a rather noticeable defining musical trait of Gfriend especially. Although "Christian horse girl music" is IMO not really applicable term globally, since Christians are rather different in US, Korea and Finland for example, and since there are no horses in their MVs. 😄 I just categorize them as wholesome-cute.

I love their music. Their songs/tracks are great.
They have amazing songs, and really wonderful choreo of course.
I had to smile when you mentioned Beyonce whilst SinB was dancing in front of the burning apple tree, especially with your Shinee poster on the wall behind you. Kany was Beyoncé’s choreographer and she worked extensively with Shinee last year as a project of hers and was often there supporting them during their performances.
But she then took on a new project with VIVIZ who are 3 members of GFriend including SinB. She created the choreography for both Maniac and Untie. The dance challenge Pop Your Ongdong has gone viral globally which is the iconic hip dance at the end of the video for Maniac and has resulted in the song climbing the charts again 3 months after release. How unusual and remarkable this is can be seen by the fact that this was worthy of a TV news mention this week. The Untie choreography is truly dangerous for anyone with a bad heart as we are attacked from the first second by the visuals and is most certainly not cute and innocent. The sexiest I think we have ever seen from the girls of VIVIZ. Kany loved working with the girls as they are even more adorable in person than they are publicly which hardly seems possible. She was so keen to work with them again she signed for their company last month on an exclusive contract so she can see more of them and create more performance art in the future. To celebrate that announcement she took all 3 girls with her to a Shinee concert the same day supporting Key. They all had light sticks to show their support for him and he announced them to the audience in return. So there will be a close connection between Shinee and VIVIZ from now on I feel.
That is amazing, thanks you for that. I have granted not really been that intensely paying attention to names behind the industry except for Koharu Sugawara for her work with Taemin&SHINee, and knowing some songmakers/producers by name (y'know, people everyone knows like Kenzie, Dem Joints, Brave Sound, Cosmic Girl). I wonder if I took a look at Kpop organized by creators what would I find? In any case, SHINee and VIVIZ are awesome and Kany is on my good books.

I miss Gfriend. Dance queens. I will follow their current activities and cheer them on.
GFriend were just beginning to explore more mature concepts when they were abandoned. I think that Kay may be interested to see where that has now continued through Viviz in their latest B-side video “Untied” which is firmly out of “innocence” territory and into “sexy” zone.
Untied is definitely on the list, I think she will like it!

Same, but all we can do is support their current activities.
Perhaps the heads of these companies will come to realize that idols don't have to age out. I'm keeping my eye on SHINee. Their careers are still moving along, and I think their album sales have increased again. So, perhaps there's still a chance for the women to continue.
Kpop is really cruel. You have to be really continuously successful to continue your career, but I think SHINee is in no danger at this point, they have been a household name and respected in Kpop for so long, and if SM crashed and burned they would be drowning in offers. I do think Gfriend's end was really sad though, these girls were like strong middle class or lower end of high class in success for their whole career and then when they were sold to a big company suddenly that wasn't enough.
