His character is the perfect example of if the roles were reversed with humainity and sea creatures. He connects with the sea because the he can communicate with them and they are natrually intune with this earth. While on the other hand doesnt respect his own species because of humanities impact on the ocean. Its like how we take whatever we want from the ocean is ok in our eyes because there is no harm to us and its beneficial where he probably feels the horrors of what sea creatures go through and therefor makes it ok to not really appreciate humainity all that much. But he is still human so its a complex situation i dont think ive ever seen shown with aquaman

narratively better if it's real. his self perceived ostracization from humanity due to his gills and his ability to be the only person to talk to and communicate thoughts with other species plays into his theme of loneliness

i never honestly saw deep as comic relief, hes a very depressing character to watch , hes ridiculed by the entire team, and when i saw him getting recognized by homelander i was happy for him , no spoilers of course but deep has taken great strides as of season 4, and i cant wait to see him taking more action
