So sorry for the loss of your fur baby. I had mine for 15 years and they truly become like our "child". The sadness goes away with time but keeping busy does help. Currently binge watching your videos 🤗🤗🤗

Oh Jenna, I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my dog of 15 years the first week in November and damn, it’s hard. My family has lost pets before, but this was my baby. It has been just the two of us venturing through this thing called life for the past 15 years. I understand the night sadness. I also am good during the day, but every time I get into bed - where he would typically be waiting for me as I did my night routine - sadness always creeps in. Sometimes, I think he’s just at my parents - where he would stay when I traveled - and that I’ll see him soon. It’s hard, really hard, but gets less hard as the days go on. I am also in the state of grief where I don’t want another dog - I want Barkley. 😢 Love and hugs to you from across the beltway!! ❤

I am so sorry for your loss Jenna, I understand. I had to put down my family dog when I was away in High School and I wasn't able to be there during it, it was heart breaking BUT what did help is to remember how much love you provided to him during his short life

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had my cat for 16 years and I had to put her down when I was 21 due to her old age. It was a really painful time and I cried a lot.I still miss her almost six years later but at the same time I am thankful that I had her and for the memories with her and I have now adopted two more cats. The pain never goes away but in a way but it helps to allow yourself to be sad about it and to think of all the nice and funny moments you had with it. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

I haven’t gone through pet loss but my cat is 15 and every day I think about how it’s gonna be so hard when he’s not here. He’s been in my life since I was 13 and I watched him grow from being a kitten to the little old guy he is today. He’s slower and way calmer than he used to be and I’m happy I gave him such a comfortable and long life but I want him to be with me for forever. I’m kind of pre grieving, if that makes sense, and trying to enjoy every moment I have with him while I can.

Once Timmie turned 14 in October that’s how I was too. I would say I feel like it will happen quickly but I just didn’t think it would be this soon. He was so loved his entire life. Thank you for your love and support 🥹

Fellow dog mom here and I recently lost my 12 year old Pudding right before Xmas last year; my 10 year old Teddy passed in 2021, and remaining senior pupper Dobby is gonna be 13 this May and has been on chemo the last 6 years. I've had dogs growing up and it's absolutely heartbreaking to have to let them go at some point be it old age, illness or both. It's never easy nor will it ever get easier losing a family member (I strongly believe pets aren't just pets, they're family.) I'm so sorry and my heart goes out to you. It's good you're trying to carry on with your usual routine, but cry whenever you need to, journal/write it out, talk about it in therapy, allow yourself to properly grief and face the emotions bc it'll def catch up to you if you don't. I'm glad you're focusing on being gentle with yourself, that's very much needed in times like this, and I'd like to add being patient with yourself too. Like all things, it's going to take a lot of time, but eventually the intensity will become a little more subtle and remembering the good memories will be bittersweet. There's also online support groups specifically for pet loss/grieving if you'd like to look into that. You're definitely not alone. I'm sure he knows he was very much loved and will watch over you til the day you get to be reunited at Rainbow Bridge
I read this last night and it made me so emotional 🥹❤️ thank you so much for your kind heart. I’m sorry for your losses and hardship too 🥺 we truly love our animals so much. They change our whole hearts. Journaling and writing has helped immensely truly. I wrote my pup a whole love letter and it helped give me comfort. I just miss him so much and know I will miss him forever. Patience will go a long way. Thank you for this, truly 🥺❤️

Sorry for your loss ❤❤ Pet loss is just as difficult. I lost my first fur baby in 2013.. he was my first dog ever and It still hurts. The sadness and crying goes away with time. You will keep the memories and happy times forever though!

I put my dog down last march and she was 16. She got sick randomly and its still hard some days. I have her ashed which helps because I feel like shes still with me. It will get better trust me!

I know exactly how you feel, I lost my cat In August of 2014.. I was 23 at the time and I also had him since I was 12... it hurt..its almost been 9 years since hes been gone and it still hurts. I miss him all the time. But he sent me 2 new cats that I love dearly..I know one day we will reunite again ❤️ don't worry, he will always be with you. He will visit you in your dreams one night..to let you know he's okay. ❤️

What are your working hours per day? I'm doing an internship and I have to work 8.40 hours per day, excluding lunch break. I commute two hours per day, so the latest that I have to go in the mornings is 7 AM, and the earliest I get home is 6.15 PM. I find it really hard to do anything else in the evening, especially now that there's so much work that I sometimes have to stay longer. Any tips for me?
My work hours vary! I’d say usually 40-45 hours just depending on the workload. I’m sorry, commute definitely adds a layer of challenge. I would say consider audiobooks or something to make the commute more self care focused for now
When Alfie passed away, I took a whole week off of work. He went in for surgery to remove a tumor (cancer) and took him home that day. Less than 24 hours later, he suffered seizures and by the time I got him to the ER vet, he was unresponsive. My heart is still broke and I have yet to get another doggie furbaby. That was back in 2019.
