This last patch made it possible to fly around the KSC for me now finally without lagging horrendously. RTX 3070 EVGA FTW edition and an I7-12700kf for anyone wondering. Beautiful performance now so long as it's not a monster of an aircraft. Love the new lighting at the runway at night now, the KSC looks beautiful.
and with base building, hopefully we will be able to make hoops and extra obstacles to fly through! (maybe theyll even add the option for checkpoints, or a mod that does) multiplayer is going to be crazy and i cant wait for it to release.
what would be cool if this becomes a series or an event is have people built their own planes, but say they must have only so much of one thing or atleast one thing say they are allowed 1 J20 engine and it must have one fuel tank (or minimum amount of fuel units) and that bubble cockpit, the rest is whatever that way people can bring their own designs and you have the design aspect (similar to real race series like F1) aswell
I think what we need is actual (disc-shaped) checkpoints, diameter maybe twice the width of the long straight street. Have like 3-5 of those on the straight, per direction. You can go as high as you want between them (for collision avoidance, for example), but you need to hit the checkpoints. Similarly, you can reverse however you want at the end of the straight; you just need to hit the checkpoint at the end before starting it, and also hit it at the start after reversing.
@@N9GamingOfficial Well, since you do have to hit the checkpoints, you need to get down to the ground periodically. The higher you go in between checkpoints, the longer the path - so you want to stay as low as you can/dare
@@Carnasa Ooooh, yallz heard it here by the man himself! Lol... This game has amazing potential, so long as they keep it up. It's already super fun, when we have all the parts, the science, career and then Colonies and Multiplayer? Oh man. AMAZING potential as I said.
I'm using an M1 mac mini for KSP and I have been trying to get Crossover to work and it's going well so far, maybe mac on KSP2 is not a dream until support comes out after all!
I won't be able to even try until I buy that 3rd-hand Cray supercomputer from NASA's basement sale next year. So until then, I thoroughly enjoy the game vicariously through your posts. Good work, and thank you!

I thought about that too! Flying through rings would be great :D Extend races to no-atmosphere moons and planets for extra weirdness and fun
