I was searching all around the internet for something like this. Most I found are saying that we need to start with *insert ML related topic here*, but I felt that something was missing. When you started by saying that a good ML engineer should first be a good software engineer, I knew right away that this is what's missing. It makes complete sense to start there and then move up the ladder. Thank you for taking the time to creating all of this.

Why one needs to have a very good understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms to be an ML engineer when he/she is going to use Python as the programming language which already have well tuned built-in data structures and libraries such as numpy and pandas? Yes, DS and Algorithms are necessary to know if we are using C plus plus programming language.

    Hey there!
Firstly, I can't thank you enough for starting this channel ❤️
I'm here after I saw your video about how to pick up the basic skills to become a data analyst in 3 months video and want to let you know that I had started the Google data analytics course on Coursera about 45 days ago and have finished 2 courses in the certificate series. Do you think it is possible for me to pick up the same skills you mentioned in your video through this course?
Do you think the Google badge on the certificate might give it an edge?
I honestly feel the pathway you described in your video takes a more in depth approach which might be beneficial.
Would really really love to hear your thoughts on this.
It would really mean a lot if you replied.
    Thank you.

    • @shadowChrist0
      @shadowChrist0 Před 2 lety +1

Certificates won't work while applying to jobs. In fact it is considered bad practice to include them in your resume, unless you have official certifications like Oracle or AWS certified etc. They might be useful when applying to inernships.
Final resume should include, proper advanced projects ( 2 minimum ) in your field and 1 or 2 good internships. That is enough to get you in.
But in Data Science/ML roles, you just need to learn everything -
Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics, Algebra, Calculus, ML, DL, Feature Engineering, Hyperparameter Tuning. +(corresponding frameworks in all fields)
Say for ex, you apply for Data Scientist or Data Analyst Role, you can have little knowledge of DL & Feature Engg, Hyperparameter tuning (last 3) but you have to be perfect in other all specified fields.
Or if you apply for ML role, you may have little knowledge of Data Engg but should be perfect in remaining specified aspects.
Its just less of a engineering job and more of a Scientist job. That's why they only hire Masters or Phd students. Also the entry barriers in this type of jobs are too much, you need to be doing DS/ML from a good college that too atleast till Masters. Otherwise, you will be a Data Analyst in xyz company with 5.5 LPA package.
I'm not demotivating you, Its just better to be aware early rather than getting hard-hit by reality later at the time of placements.
      Cheers💛💛
