I remember that Jody's family was arguing about something at the dinner table and Sam and Dean were going to give them some privacy to talk it out. Jody made them stay where they were which indicated that she saw them as part of her family.

Honest opinion, I absolutely loved the Garth episode. I don't think it was cringey at all or all over the place. It was funny as hell, I laughed all the way through. In fact it was really bold for the show to blatantly call out plot armors that basically all writers use for their characters and ingenious and very creative to make the absence of them the plot of the episode itself. Just brilliant.

@@sonalg1988 I like to write, been doing it in some capacity since I learned how to read and write properly as a child. I certainly aspire to be a professional writer one day. So I recognize that it's nearly impossible to write a good story without some plot conveniences and plot armors for characters, the best stories in history have them too. So admitting that and playing with the concept within the show is very brave and very meta and it was a risky swing they took in the last season, like they always do, and it really worked for me :)
No I meant like professionally, bc I'm looking to hire some writers. Low pay but steady work.

I honestly think the point of that episode was for everyone to hate it lmao, it’s to show why main characters aren’t allowed to have basic human needs
I didn’t mind that part of it, I thought that was really refreshing, but the slapstick tone of the fight scene really took me out of it. The moves and sound effects was like Looney Tunes. It just went a little too far for my taste. But the rest of it I mostly enjoyed.

3:50 to the "wtf is happening???" Dean is tapping out like you do in wrestling for example and since he was kept in a choke hold(could have been a sleeper hold I'm not sure tbh) which is a common wrestling move😂 I actually thought that this was kinda funny because it just fit in so well with the theme of the episode. I'm still convinced that they have read fanfic genres and decided to have an episode that's at least part-time crack

Jody looking at Dean saying "If we can't talk about it, we shouldn't be doing it" and Dean acting like he's the one getting the mom talk about sex is comedy gold. Jensen was so good at playing Dean as a goofy kid before switching back to badass Dean. Oh how I hope we one day get a reboot. Supernatural could have went on for decades and it would have maintained great ratings because no other show compares. It really does just come down to spending time with family.

I didn't really like that one either. It felt a little like they took away how badass they were for 14 seasons. Now everything they do is because of a lucky chip. It was funny don't get me wrong but I felt like that whole episode messed some things up.
Thank You! I thought I was the only one. It literally undid everything for 14 seasons. All the extra skill that Dean learned during purgatory, all the skills they learned from their dad before the show even started. I mean that wasnt Chuck, that was them. Plus most of the fighting is muscle memory from years of practice so even if they didn't remember how to do it their muscles would remember.
No it was just chuck giving them really bad luck
It's literally showing that they're this lucky/good only because that's how god had them since they were his "favorite show" and now that they pissed him off he's taking away everything that makes no since like their little extra strength and luck and stuff like that.
