- The 2022 Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae (~$709,148 CAD converted, $558,853 USD as specced) is a roaring V12 monster limited to only 350 Coupe models; and has the most power seen in any Aventador ever. Its ability to rocket from 0-100 km/h in its claimed time of 2.8 seconds is in part due to the incredible 769 hp output, the absurd launch control, and the aggressive single clutch transmission that makes for thunderous shifts at full throttle.
But is this simply too much supercar for the road - even as a weekend driver? Or is it the right amount of brilliant engineering, recognizable style, and sheer driving insanity to have both Thomas and James giggling like school children off a single launch? @@TheLegoPerson they already made an amazing video of the SVJ. This is just another parts bin special by Lamborghini, loosely based on the Aventador S. It’s just Lamborghini attempt at milking the whole Aventador platform. That is why it doesn’t deserve to be on the main channel even though it is a Lamborghini.

I still remember when the Throttle House channel had a bit over 100k subscribers 3.5 years back. Now, the channel’s got close to 2 million subs, and there’s an extra channel with nearly 150k subs! I’m happy for this team and I’ve been so happy to see the channel grow, and see how you guys have been getting nicer and nicer cars!

I remember when Top Gear first made their video review of the Aventador in 2011, saying that with their V12 cars Lamborghini really likes to take their time, taking over 10 years to come out with each new model. I remember watching that back then and thinking that times had changed and they'd be out with a new main V12 model in a few years because surely car design was moving so fast that the Aventador would start looking outdated. And here we are, 11 years later, this car _still_ looks crazy, and other than the interior that design fits in with supercars today.
This car will be an icon. Truly an icon. I still remember when the original Aventador came out with its crazy styling. And now, the styling still feels ahead of its time.
It is an icon, but it will also be remembered as the default rapper/sports player supercar 🤣
@@Sinoops As do most Lambos. But the real question is "should we care?". The Mercedes S Class n Maybachs became synonymous with movie stars, musicians n athletes and is still highly sought after today. They will be remembered as such by non-car folks but petrolheads will remember them for that monstrous V12. I hope they continue to stay around a long long time.

I’m not sure. It’s far less outrageous and cool than the Countach was in the 80’s. Its philosophy is also a bit like Gordon’s T.50 except with an added 600kg and a less responsive or high revving NA engine. Nice car still, even in its price range, but hardly one to be remembered.

Aventador exhaust note is just so satisfying. I closed my eyes on the acceleration and just embraced the symphony.
The X brace is centered to the car. The engine is actually offset due to the AWD system.
I remember watching a Motortrend video for the Aventador SVJ where they did lots of starts inside a tunnel..!! Felt absolutely insane even through my small mobile screen!! One of the most insane fire spitting cars out there!!

The Aventador is my favorite car, and I can’t imagine anything else replacing it for me. It’s the car that made me interested in cars, thinking “wow, that engine sounds cool” and “that is the most beautiful car I’ve ever seen.” Nothing else has captivated me as this car has. It makes me so sad thinking we are coming to the end of its era. I’ve sat in a couple of these beauties and I’ll never forget it. This new iteration is a beauty, but my favorite is the SV. I just really line the front bumper. Though the rear on the SVJ is clearly the best. Each of these cars is elegant, graceful, yet also a complete animal at the same time. They’re just perfect in my eyes. Great review!

@@DiaperSNiFFER no, he's not lying. where did he say the svj was the fastest? he said the svj had beaten the gt2 rs which it had. porshe raced the stock gt2 rs and set a new record, then it was beaten by the svj, then the amg gt bs beat the svj and then the gt2 rs upgraded by manthey racing, hence the additional mr letters in the name, set another new record. do a bit more research and more importantly interpret what people say correctly before accusing them of lying

the prices of exotics are insane, The Aventador was a 250k car and inflation hasn't been that Venezuelan in the developed world. Luxury brands are straight-up ripping off customers, which is fine, if they can afford aventadors they can afford to pay a lot to overcompensate. Apart from that, the aventador has made history, it is for me the supercar of the 2010s plus it IS the successor of the Countach, the genius design of modernising the Countach is amazing and it is what the Aventador is, the other is just marketing. the X can never be in the center because it is symetrical with car, while the engine of every lambo is offset due to the 4 wheel drive shaft. I love how the Aventador never tried to be racy, it was not meant to the fastest around anything, it was meant to be cool, insane, stupidly good looking before the add ons. It is not clinical, its brutal. Loved the segment

It was originally a 300k car but I still think your point stands. This thing should cost maybe 350 or 400 grand at most.
@@andrewduong2740 you are totally right. If you check pictures of both side by side you will see have every line of the aventador was previously on the countach. The brilliant ideas are the OG Countach and the aventador, or even the reventon, not the new countach

I remember the first time I saw an aventador in person. I was at my local Lamborghini dealership after they had closed and they had an orange gen 1 parked outside. I’m not a tall person by any means but the car’s roofline was below my hips

One of my clients has an aventador sv that came from the factory with an upgraded ecu and exhaust, as well as an “LP 825” badge. They made a small amount of them, but that’s actually the most powerful aventador ever made

That LP 825 badge wasn't factory but there was a Lambo-sactioned race tuned package that could be dealer installed. Apparently, somebody needed to show off and made some badges too.

Are you guys filming on Spunky Canyon by the Bouquet Canyon Reservoir? Such a great road with some very tight corners. The dirt road you cross has been part of the Rim of the World Rally Race. It is about 20 min from where I live. Would have been great to meet you two.
