Ground to air, pan with giant Russian jet liner escorted by Russian fighter jet planes. MS Czech and Russian flags flying side by side. Various good shots as Czech President Svoboda comes down steps of plane to be greeted with usual hugs and kisses by Soviet leaders including Leonid Brezhnev (President of the Supreme Soviet), Prime Minister Alexei Kosygin, President Nikolai Podgorny and other members of the Soviet Politburo. After inspecting a guard of honour and the salute of a march past of troops he leaves the airport. MS Tracking shot past crowd of waving women.
High shot, motorcade into Moscow. Various good tracking shots as Svoboda and Russian leaders drive in an open car through cheering crowd-lined streets from the airport to the Kremlin. Various shots, inside the Kremlin during talks held between Svoboda and Russian leaders including Brezhnev and Kosygin, on the Czech crisis. Also present in the Czech delegation is Alexander Dubcek. Various MS and CUs of Muscovites buying and reading newspapers with the Soviet-Czechoslovak Communiqué after the talks, which were held between 23rd and 26th of August.
