@@indiee4971 actually there is a difference for one(I'll use white people as an example) if a white person goes outside to get a tan its damaging their skin because scientists have proven there is no such thing as a getting a safe tan when they become darker/tanned it's their skin trying to protect itself from the sun's UV rays

Ella yeah no shame in claiming both sides bc it’s what makes up who I am. Mixed people that claim black do so usually because they’ve been raised around black people and are seen as black by the rest of society. For me I do say I’m mixed but I understand that even tho I am mixed, people will still see me as black but I shouldn’t try to speak over other black people or try to represent us as a whole. Thanks for recognising my black and white side there’s so much pressure for mixed people to claim one side over the other or people want to tell us we aren’t black or white when the reality is we’re both black and white and should be accepted into both spaces respectfully. That’s a whole other topic though 😂
@@rebdomine938 yeah I often get frustrated with biracial people being the faces for black representation like Zendaya and Doja cat. They're mixed and that's great! But there's a noticeable difference to the pressures they face and the pressures full black people face. They're the first picked as actors for a reason. Because they're lighter. No one mixed should feel the need to prove they're black. Just be yourself and be both and PROUD of that.
