- This bride can't get enough of big gowns and wants a showstopper of a princess dress on her big day. On the other hand, her entourage doesn't love the idea and finds it hard to "Say Yes" when their opinions are so different from hers.

I can't believe her friends didn't say a single positive thing. She looked beautiful in all 3. My favorite was #2. She needs to come back without her friends.
the fishtail just didn't work on her. the first dress was trying too hard and the second didn't carry the drama into the skirt. i've seen lots of princess dresses that have embellishments from the bodice all the way down the skirt and around the hem, i guess they couldn't get that on a £1500 budget?
I noticed that, too! Judging from the bride's polite, "thank you for your time" comment at the end, maybe she's the nice one in the group.
She gave way too much power to her so-called friends, who don't look stylish at all, but rather dowdy. Maybe Jealousy.

Actually, it was £2100, which is 31.5% above budget - not a small difference!
I've watched this by accident, as I was watching the boxing, and I've realised there is something wrong with people's minds, Crazy!
I was thinking the same thing. Who are these consultants? Are they going to eat the difference when the bride falls hard for a dress she cannot afford
They got the discount cause of the TV production that is why they go above so often.
Why didn't she show her an A-line dress? It's a smaller version of a ball gown and can come in a dramatic top and various materials for the bottom besides tulle.
I thought the same thing. An a line would have been perfect.
I agree she should have shown her the option, but I have a feeling she would have vetoed it for "not being dramatic enough".

@@AndrewMacLaine if it was an A-line with actual details on the skirt instead of just mountains of plain tulle i'm sure it would've been dramatic enough. she might just have to up her budget to get that drama though (or go shopping on ebay lol).

Because she sounds posh and it's they're job to upsell don't forget. They have to try. You want sales staff who could sell ice to Eskimos.
I think they wanted to check how big she wants, and it might be hard in her budget.
The bride wants "dramatic" and she wants "everyone looking at me." And princess. All that costs money. Plus, the dresses in the store usually start at £1500.
You can't come in with a low budget and expect all the bells and whistles. If you want all that still, then don't go to a store that only sells designer gowns. She could have gone to to Lancashire - where the designers are cheaper - or sacrifice something. None of this is the store's fault.

Agree they should have tried an A-line. I hate fishtail dresses, but she looked fabulous in dress 2. They could have tried other dresses with that or a similar silhouette. The episodes from this store always seem to go to extremes: "Oh, you don't like this one, over-the-top, exaggerated dress in this style, so let's ditch this silhouette entirely and not consider any of the 8,000 other dresses we have in this style."
The first bride - I loved her in dresses number 2 and 3. She clearly loved 2 and I'll bet her fiance would too. It was drama, just what she wanted with less bulk around her figure. The second bride - now that's how your entourage shows up for you!
Why don't they ever pull a classic A-line for so many of these brides? The first bride would have rocked one!
This always tick's me off. If Ball gown is too big...go with an A line with dramatic features. Yet, no A line...

They were laughing at the dresses. All 3 were bad, first was to poofy. Second fish tails are weird. And third the top was bleh. If they combined the 1st and 3rd it could have work

I thought the third one was beautiful on her too. Consultant should have shown her tje same style in a different fabric or an aline dress. Which is an alternative to the two dresses 👗🤔

I don't think the first bride had any intention of buying a dress from this shop. She's 22, fresh out of uni and shopping with her mates. I think she was just playing dressing up.

Everybody is obsessing over the first bride and the second looked absolutely stunning. The bright white against her beautiful brown ski n was the absolute perfect pick for her. Not to mention the way the Princess cut will axcentuate her figure.

I commented on both - but it was more an issue with the entourage that people are having. The first bride had two friends who said nothing positive and left her deflated. The second - she knows what she wants and she knows she looks fine and she has an entourage who went right there with her.
What did this friends come here to do? I don't trust friends very much when they say "I don't like this".
A friend who puts top priority on "whether it suits the bride and whether the bride is happy with the dress" is a real friend.
Why does the consultant seem so surprised she’s never worn a fishtail? I’ve literally only seen fishtail dresses when they’re wedding dresses. Fishtail dresses outside of weddings aren’t that common.

The fishtail dress looked absolutely stunning on her and had the drama. She said she never tried one before, the comment "not you" is so bizarre, boxing her in the old and usual stuff. Let her wow the audience with something they never saw her wear!!
That girl had an amazing figure, so I can't help but wonder if some jealousy may have been at play there---along with the onsite producer telling the entourage to hype up the disapproval and drama (it's done on every one of these shows, and there are loads of videos showing that).

Her budget was 1,500 so the first dress the consultant shows is over 2,000. That's so unfair
First bride did well to leave without a dress. Approach things anew elsewhere, perhaps. I don't think she got the guidance she needed.

The bride is a proud theatre student. She will want not just a big dress, but one with details large enough to be seen from the back row. That's what a she likely means by "dramatic."
Why do they always say that they want drama but hate it when they get what they ask for? If it's not dramatic or show stopping enough, I'm surprised that they don't have a bunch of lights added to it. 🙄

The sample size was too small and they were doing what they could to make it work. Will look beautiful on her wedding day.

I look at these dresses and wonder how in the world these woman go to the bathroom on the wedding day. The first dress you couldn't even sit down in.
My bestie had a poufy skirt. I had to help hold her dress when she needed to go. However, ther was enough skirt that she still had some privacy!
Usually there are bridesmaids who help the bride go, they’ll hold up the skirt or undo all the buttons, etc
Lol I kinda liked the first two dresses, but they made her look matronly. The third one was perfect, but it had the mesh on the chest. They were going in the right direction with that one.
The very first gown was 600 over the budget. I would lose trust in the consultant very quickly.
This place doesn't care about the bride like the US version. Here it's like "Oh you have a $1500 budget? Great! I'll grab a few $3000 gowns!". It's ridiculous.

The second lady is so beautiful. Didn't feel her dress flattered her, especially the top part. But well, she was happy.

The first bride is not ready for marriage. She wants her marriage to be perfect and she the princess ~ "just like the movies". The second bride looked so happy and lovely in her dress.
For goodness sakes you don't know anything about her and her relationship. She wants a princess dress. She didn't say she expected a fairytale life. It's perfectly fine to take more than one trip to the shops to find your Yes dress.

First girl could have worn a fishtail easily, perhaps with a somewhat simpler skirt on it. She has the figure for it (I'd LOVE to be built like that!), and with a lighter, less poofy skirt, it would be perfect for her.
The bodice of the first dress was so beautiful and something I haven't seen before, but the skirt was too big for a small girl..

That's the first thing I said when I heard her say "perfect life"! She's deluded. Life IS NOT like the movies & far from perfect. She's got some growing up to do. I hope her groom has his eyes open wide.

I often wonder how do you use the bathroom in some of these dresses.
Usually the bridesmaids go with the bride to the bathroom and hold up her skirt/undo all the buttons, etc.

When a bride brings an entourage with her they are supposed to be there for support, yet all I hear is negativity and comments about what they like. I don't understand brides that don't trust themselves, they love a dress and one negative comment and then they hate the dress.
Sometimes I wonder if the entourage looks at these dresses as something they would like to wear verses what the bride would. Even worse they like it and don't want her to wear something they would
that segment made no sense.
Wow, the first bride asked for dramatic but classic, not utterly tacky. I thought all three dresses were not her at all. She would suit something much classier. I hope she went to another shop with less tacky dresses. I liked the colour of the dress the second bride chose for her, but I think Gok would have found her something lovelier.

'Perfect Life' does not exist. Learn to adapt and compromise as every marriage has to.

She has such a cute little figure. I'm 6ft tall so I think little is so cute. In all my 66 years I've never been cute. I love cute!!
