I like what Parcells said. Draft a QB every year until you get one. Doesn’t have to be round one. If we did this every year we might actually have one by now. As far as Rodgers goes you never know what he’s going to do. I don’t think he knows either. Season are long and rough on an old body.
Its honestly feels like our mom dates a bunch of guys, she is extremely toxic and another year goes by and she thinks shes found the one till he is a "narcissist" a year later. 😂😂😂

Forget QB right now, we will definitely have to target the LB position next season. Actually, I’ve been saying we need a starting LB this season. If Mosley or Williams gets hurt or misses time, all we have is Jamien Sherwood listed as the next man up. R u kidding me? He’s not a starter in this league. I hope they address the situation as we speak and sign a starting LB. I know JD has to see a potential blunder if he doesn’t act now!! Go Jets!!!
Honestly i would of done it this year but thats only because i had Bo Nix as one of the top QBs to come out in the past decade. People are seriously sleeping on that dude for whatever crazy reason. I still love the Fashanu pick and we needed a LT, and i like Travis so im happy, but i had Nix as my top QB and Latham as my top T, i wanted both, obviously that would of been impossible.

Big Tech fan here, we loved Smith. Only challenge with him cerebral and accuracy. Every other metric he has to play on Sundays. Going to be fun to watch him this year. Kid runs like a deer.

round QB this year. Don't waste pick on QB. Williams and Mosely will probably be gone next year so need help on OL. If Reddick doesn't sign, will need DE help. QB would be waste.

Please for the love of god will you watch will Mcelvain’s highlights. He was a top 5 qb at the manning passing academy and has done amazing things at central Arkansas like for instance breaking the record for the biggest comeback in all of college footballs history
Why do we need one? Rodgers is probably here next year as well as Tyrod and then Travis if he works out. Unless something goes wrong with Travis I don't see us going to get a QB. I feel we'd go for a lineman to be honest to shore up the line to replace Moses and hopefully we'll have a later pick. Probably use the second with a WR, maybe vice versa.
Most drafts I've seen have either - DT, WR, or TE. Occasionally safety or OT. I wouldn't hate taking a QB, I've been saying this since the draft - unless Jordan Travis really really shows something in practice this year, a 5th round guy isn't going to stop a team from drafting another QB. I don't hate Travis or think he's unplayable, but that's just reality. Only 3 current starting QBs in the league were day 3 picks and all of them got their shot due to injury to a guy that was supposed to start; none of them were the "heir apparent". That being said, if we could draft someone like Tetairoa McMillan, Will Johnson, or the Michigan DTs, sign me up lol.

Hopefully both Jordan Travis and Tyrod Taylor are panning out well when this draft happens. I know looking at new QBs are a sign of renew but it’s meaningless if those two QBs are not panning out for the team.
I always hear about the Jets not developing QBs but I feel we need to have established players on the roster for this position and we usually don’t or that QB depth is joining the team at the same time. Once you take away that established QB from the locker room is when the QB development takes a bad turn in my opinion.
We don’t know how JT will turn out but more than likely he would be a solid backup so I am hype to see who we draft at QB next year but I hope for that first pick it’s an OL player. No matter the improvements made this is still a need first.
Overall I hope we do get lucky because that’s what it really takes at the end to get a top QB

I think there’s only 2 ways Aaron Rodgers retires. 1 he wins the Super Bowl and rides off into the sunset a winner. 2 he gets hurt and it’s a season ending injury again.

It only makes sense if we draft in we have a late first. Draft our Aaron Rodger and have him learn for a year behind FOR REAL! There's so many variables on how the board falls too. The only we need to do if we do this is LET AROD KNOW! He's smart enough to know we're drafting for our future.
This coaching staff has shown us they do not have the ability to develop QBs only way to draft one is if we change the coaching staff

I think we wait until 2026 and see how JT3 develops with aaron and tyrod while having no stress of another young guy. the qb class for 2025 is also very weak imo, so lets just wait a year and bank on aaron not retiring
FUN FACT- QBS are not coaches and according to the new CBA there is virtually no practice time.
You can not "develop" a player who will always run scout team vs the first team defense.

Don’t really like the jets drafted QB history, build the team around the quarterback and try to sign another QB vet/receiver after Rodgers is gone. 1st round pick should be another OL but we need to see how this year pans out first. If we had more of an offensive minded staff I would certainly go for a QB 1st round but not in our current state definitely not. Geno, Darnold and Wilson. Being the most recent QB picks. Wouldn’t want to add to that rookie list of “not ready yet QBs”😂

The JETS currently have a 40 yr old QB coming off catastrophic injury and a 35 yr old backup , of whom, every time he sees the field gets injured.
The JETS HAVE to be in the QB market for years movinf forward.

Darnold and Wilson failed themselves. No improvement on mechanics in their time with the Jets. Neither could make a consistent five yard pass. How is that possible as an NFL QB? They had all time in world but both were egotistical in being stuck in their ways.
@miky9619 Actually Darnold did really well when he had a healthy horrible supporting cast while running a horrible offense. Statistically 3700 30-8 65% in his only 4 game stretch with a healthy horrible supporting cast. Jets failed Darnold.
