Luka looked so tired. I bet the guy misses tonight. His legs looked rubbery. I remember that exhausted feeling when you wake up a few times w terrible cramps. Always loved that feeling. But when we would lose I couldn’t sleep that night. My wife always told me she hated when we would lose. That night we would both be up thru the night. I despised losing. I had a coach in high school. Loved the guy. To this day. We were undefeated and played a team w one loss- to us. We went to their gym. It was packed. And people were lined up around the out of bounds. They called us terrible names. You wouldn’t see that today. We brought two police cars with our bus. One to accompany us. One to watch the bus. I was so nervous that night I vomited before the game several times. We were behind 50-24 at half. Coach said I’m ashamed of how you played that half. IfT woke me up. We brought it back to an 8 point game but couldn’t make it up. I didn’t embarrass myself in second half. Thank God. I knew if I didn’t make up for that I would never forgive myself. To this day I remember that game. I learned lessons in that game that I have used all my life. Maybe I won that game after all.
I don't know why Americans always think Europeans will want to boast about their achievements. Both Luka and Jokic are not built like that. Players from Europe, especially the Balkans are not trying be a part of this American, I don't even know what to call it. We win, we go home and think about what's next. For Luka, it's going home to Slovenia, for Jokic it's going home to Serbia. End of story. Family above else, screw glory, public exposure, media coverage. If they can avoid that, (though difficult for players of their caliber) then great for them. They are not trying to hype themselves like the US players who will try to make themselves as visible as possible even when accomplishing mediocre achievements.
Yeah i was pretty mad they were letting them hang around the whole game. But we might not have got this legendary 73 pt game if we put them away earlier
Congrats to Luka. But honestly, scoring has changed too much in the NBa, its starting to become unwatchable. Remove the defensive 3 second violation, and remove take fouls, then it might be better
Sorry, but if the game is won you have to be taken out... This game was unsure until the very end... Scoring 80 in a blowout is trash and disrespectful, ok Embiid and Kobe were both pretty close to that, but not like that Klay game, or even Klay's 14 threes game, same thing... Luka scored 73 whole being beaten up and tripled in a close game where their teammates misses 2 open layup in a row
Didbthey win the championship? A playoff game? All time leading scorer? Most points in game all time? Im confused cuz there have been 5 70 point games in the last calendar year. If everyone is doing it its the norm. Who cares? There's literally no defense being played. The players just dont care obviously. He never got an elbow or push in the ground. No Technical fouls.
