      Thank you,
      There is no difference
      Need 12 volts power supply
      + to level sensor Red wire
      - to level sensor GND and on Addon GND
      White wire from level sensor to analog in on shelly Addon
      But currently I prefer shelly plus uni

    Did not like the robot voice, but otherwise a very good and informative video. Thanks!

    Hey, thank you very much vor detail wiring pics and explanation. I've bought the Range 0-2m and Output 0-5V linked from your description and bought Shelly uni plus. Could connect to shelly via the app, but there is no voltage (all the time 0.0v). I've double checked but your wiring with mine but didn't found the difference. So white from sensor to white of shelly (ANALOG IN), red with red (VAC1), and black and green (VAC2/GND) with blue from sensor. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Is there any wiring difference with shelly uni and shelly uni plus?

      You're welcome, my friend.
      Yes, your wiring is correct. Did you activate the sensor on the Shelly UNI Plus? You need to do that with the Plus model by adding a peripheral.

    Hello, thanks for your very relaxed explaination. It's very easy to follow ..... but i have a little problem. I have the exact same combination. But when i connect the green wire to the ground .... nothing will work. When i disconnect it the shelly led goes up again .... Do you have any idea what i am doing wrong? Thank you so much. Kind regards, Frank, France

      Do the colors of the wires on the sensor the same colors as the video ??

    Thanks for this. Seems your ali link also shows probe is a 2-wire one and not a 3-wire. Can you please confirm also from your end before I order? The 3rd (that looks like a wire) is not a wire but some hose for air vent if not mistaken? btw: what esp32 board would you buy today for this as an alternative to the shelly uni since i have esp integration setup on Homeassistant?

      Buy from this link

      Choose any size suitable for you and then choose 0-5V
      Don't worry about the pictures just choose from 0-5, volts there will be three wires for sure
      Use the new version of Shelly Uni

      @@wesmart1Thanks. Why not the 0-10v for a 2m depth or best 0-5v?

    • @wesmart1
      @wesmart1  Před 2 měsíci

      @Omobilo You're welcome! There is no difference in terms of performance, only in the number that will appear during the tank filling stage depending on whether the level sensor output is 0-5 or 0-10.

    Hello, I have same configuration but unfortunately the readings are not stable. I have a range between 0,07V and 0,28V without moving the sensor. It is necessary a stabilized power source? You use one in this example? Thank you.

      Welcome
      These changes are not significant if they are at a level higher than 1 volt
      And the reasons are mostly the passage of wires with other electrical wires

    Thank you, I have the exact same setup nut forgot to ground the sensor green wire but it seems to work fine. Is there an issue with that? Should I fix it? I have value flaunting a bit but not significantly.

    • @wesmart1
      @wesmart1  Před 2 měsíci +1

      You're welcome, Yes, that's right, don't modify anything.
      This flaunting is considered normal, don't worry

    Hello, thanks for sharing. I have bought the shelly unit and sensor before watching your video... and my water level sensor has only 2 wires (red and black) instead of the 3 like yours. Any idea about the cabling? Thanks in advance for your support.

    Purchased sensor and it says it needs 24v DC power - what will happen if I use 24V AC as I seem to have plenty of spare AC power adaptors ?

    • @wesmart1
      @wesmart1  Před 9 měsíci

      The device will not work correctly with 24VAC
      You can use 12vdc if 24vdc not available

    Would this sensor work in Kerosene or bio-diesel.

    • @wesmart1
      @wesmart1  Před rokem +1

      There is another type dedicated for diesel
      You can connect in the same way in the video
      You should order 0-5 or 0-10 volt output
