I am a CoD player myself, yet I totally welcome a nice change. I'm sick of CoD because of its shady and just scammy practices towards its playerbase. I used to play BO2 back in the day to have fun. After I reached lvl 55, I didn't care about going for prestige, because I had everything and could finally play the damn game without being bound to any restrictions by the level cap.
TRUE. after all they're the most laid back f me over type of fan base a gaming community can have. Activision gets away with EVERYTHING, because most creators are paid for by them which support their careers and the little guys have no voice.
I started with cod 2 and that game didn't have streaks or perks 😂😂.

This game lacks content period. If you want this game to remain online, you're gonna want to add such things. The more players, the more money they make. Less players, ubisoft shuts it down. Use your head please.

Does this game have specialists? I hate specialist and abilities. I like gun fights not all these other variables.
@@chuy3840 specialists no, abilities... Kinda:
- each faction has 3 character who are entirely cosmetic.
- each faction has a choice between 2 abilities with generally somewhere in the range of 30-45 second cooldowns as well as a passive.
- each faction has an "Uber" usually being a special weapon (flamethrower or bubble shotgun) or supercharged version of an ability (AoE EMP or over health field). These do not make the person unstoppable btw in fact they are very counter able.
That's really about it, 90% of your time is gunfighting, you get 1 grenade per life (unless you play Dedsec who's passive prints new grenades over time), and you really need to play objective to get xp for your guns and get the most gunfights.
He tweeted it and saw nothing wrong what he said...that's the craziest part. I've been apart of cod since Cod 4 but guys like him is why cod is trash now. A bunch of "look at me" pub stompers that just want big kill games and views on their channel , they don't care about a game being good.

Killstreaks are what made COD fun, there have always been better games as far as maps and shooting mechanics are concerned. What’s happening now is COD so trash the community is looking for it in other games

We are all Call of Duty players lol. There are just two types of COD players. The older ones remember what COD use to be before SBMM. The new kids have had their hands held by SBMM and when they realize they actually suck, they say the game is the problem and not them.
i am one of those older cod players who also got there hands held by sbmm. high key im trash but i still know why those older cods where better. people now a days just arent self aware.
I’m a mix of the 2, I remember when cod used to be a more fun casual experience, but never could experience that cus all I would get is drop shot and jump shot and hacked on all day long, but then sbmm came out at the same time the game became a sweaty movement exploit bs game of bs exploit abuse to make it anywhere near decent kd. I hate this new direction, the shit is dumb and needs to go. Because without sbmm/eomm, these last 5 games would be a unplayable rage inducing mess.

@@chrisupton6190 i understand that im tryin to point out that as long as you can make money on youtube doin it it will never go away. also alot of people like doin it . trust me i feel your pain back when i played MW3 original not the 2019 bs one, i ran m4a1 with stalker and forgrip and would walk ads around the map because that was fun to me. then people drop shoting jump shoting, and dolphin diveing made that play style impossible. so trust me i get it.

Yep, the specialists abilities give me enough of a adrenaline rush when I pop off with them, no need for streaks to be introduced.

On top of that, XDefiant can already feel sort of chaotic at times when everyone is popping ultras, so adding score streaks/kill streaks on top of that, recipe for disaster IMO.
As a cod player, an FPS doesn't need killstreaks, however it could use more modes like TDM or FFA. Domination and Hot Shot are great
They need a 1 life round based mode for sure like search and destroy or last man standing
I feel like if we had free for all they should remove the characters abilities to even out the playing field, make it only gun on gun action.

I literally discussed this with a friend yesterday and Scorestreaks will 100% hurt this game. I enjoy the cracked out movement and constant movement by players. COD is constant sitting around and no moving its boring.
Yep, this game truly encourages fast paced gameplay, and something like streaks in my opinion would completely kill the pacing they have for this game.

@@rroy9985 you shouldn’t care about surviving in the first place. The main goal is to use your abilities to assist your team with getting the obj and winning, having a good KD in this game won’t even get you at the top of the leaderboard like call of duty.
@@rroy9985your incentive to survive should be playing the objective and nothing else. That's what makes the pace good in xdefiant. There isn't a bunch of people hiding in spawn and across the map from the objectives like in cod.
I agree this game doesn't need streaks it's a objective game and when I play it's like my teammates isn't focusing on thr objective but other then that I like the game and I can get some kills in the rounds.

The modern cod generation don't know what a good fps looks like honestly. COD is trying to be too many things to cater to many audiences. Please don't make this game like COD 🤦🏾♂️ I like that it has more of a skill gap.
Killstreaks are the epitome of a skill gap, getting a nuke and ending a game early takes great skill, is only achieved by the best players.

@@karl343camping for UAV works most times, using that reduces amount of skill needed to get further kills. Second kill streak will help you get even more kills. Now you're establishing a rhythm of their spawns, and they are trapped most likely, reducing the amount of skill needed. You get your third streak, becomes even easier.

as a CoD player myself i 100% agree on what you're saying, this game dose not need score streaks nor kill streaks or a UAV there is no need for it
Honestly, the only two or three things I'd want for XDefiant to have is some kind of (hidden) Scavenger perk (because I sometimes find myself using up all my ammo), the ability to equip a primary weapon in my secondary slot (I'd say only SMGs and perhaps shotguns), and finally a killcam, so I can have a rough idea where someone sniped me. That's it, that's literally all I want for XDefiant. And I'm grateful for an entirely new different refreshing game. Anyone else agree with me?
You can replace your secondary with any gun dropped by the enemy team.

The characters abilities are the “kill streaks”. We don’t need them in this game
Asking for killstreaks is the same as asking for a Pvp in Helldivers 2.
People are soo brainrotten that whenever a game feels and look similar to COD, they want that specific feature also be added in. If they didn't add it in, their brain would flick and say "cod did a better job than this copy and paste garbage."

Yep, at a certain point players have to accept it is indeed a different game. It might feel like COD, and has been hyped up a certain way to get COD players to get into the experience, but it’s still a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT game at the end of the day.
I think game effects and events like in The Finals would be a fun addition, at least in a LTM maybe.
CoD players always say that they want a competitor to CoD so that CoD improves itself but as soon as a competitor comes out they want it to be just like CoD. Make it make sense

This is a different game. It doesn’t want to be COD. I agree, leave COD out of this game.
I will say there are exceptions. Escort if your squad can kill off the enemy while you’re on the escort bot then they have to respawn a mile away from the obj and give you time to advance it farther. Hotshot you need those kills and if you’re lucky they’re grabbing the tags so the hotshot can focus on getting their kills and grabbing the bonus points for their own tags. That’s what I do.
Red dots on the mini map, and uavs would be cool to have cus why not have that an option where every character has the same 3 killstreaks of a uav, a form of counter uav, and an advanced, where your streaks reset on death, but each faction has there own type of specialist support streaks that don’t reset on death?

I remember a few years ago I was on BO4 fighting a full stack of sweats. Like, full on spawn trapping, me questioning if they're running Cronus and stuff, max streaks and UAV spam 24/7 in the air, sweats. I was the only person in that lobby who could have any chance of fighting back, but I decided to help my team the best I can by pulling out my Titan FMJ 1+2, and become a human SAM turret. Ended that game with more score than half the enemy team despite the sweat they put off and them even shooting my body every time I took down their streaks. And trust me, I was taking down EVERYTHING.
Players only focusing on streaks and nothing else has always pissed me off, especially since MW'19.
What about a Playlist with killstreaks, to see how well that Playlist does?

I did something I rarely do yesterday I turned my mic on and said to my team of randoms yo morons see that robot thing with the diamond around it or the diamond on your radar that is the objective we have to stop them from advancing it across the map... I got a response from one player... oh I didn't even notice I thought this was a tdm. SMH The amount of oblivious non objective playing morons can be down right infuriating at times lol
Bro I just played a match right now where I saw a dude constantly running into the enemy spawn sliding in and complaining that the team isn’t pushing with him when one of them was a cleaner with a flamethrower
6:38 BTW the "pill bottle" is still a team ability lol. Anyone in range of your passive gets healed when you use it.
yeah I mentioned in the video a bit later that it's useful for modes like escort when you are constantly moving. But the box is by far the best for modes like DOM and hardpoint when you gotta keep multiple people healed for long periods of time in specific locations.
I would like to see what they would do with perks ,or weapon perks ,or put there own spin on perks ,and more camos,attatchments.
XDefisnt does not need streaks…and thank goodness XDefiant does not have a bunch of people running around with melee weapons on a First Person Shooter…Shooter being the keyword.

I rather get stomped by movement demons than killstreaks, and it so far I haven't seen any campers bc the game doesn't allow you to sit around.
Only thing i see thats causing some players to camp is the faction echelon, with the sonar ping.. theres no way to counter it. Should bring in a faction that can keep you off the radar ti counter act it
Agree and am glad there's no kill streaks in xdefiant. The game runs smoothly with limited campers and is really fun to play. This came can strive alongside cod for players that want a more chilled experience when they're fed up of cod.
As a crimson player in COD here are my thoughts. (Not the best but I guess it’s a solid credential?)
1. Movement in this game is solid. (Skill issue if you think otherwise.)
2. Bunny hops annoying you say? (Join them or learn better movement…OR aim better.)
3. No kill streaks needed.
4. It’s not a sweat fest. You just suck at FPS games without SBMM putting you in your own lil Timmy brackets.
5. There’s plenty to do. None of it attracts to you and that’s fine.
Calling cap, show a screenshot of you being crim. Only people going to this game are trash at cod and want easy lobbies.

Haven’t been able to play the game yet so this could be an incredibly dumb idea, but what if there was a side objective that your team could work towards that would earn a game changing “kill streak” type of reward. The challenge and reward would be randomly selected before the start of the game and it would be the same for both teams and could only be completed once by one team. It should be powerful enough to change the tides, but not a guaranteed win either. It would give players something else to work towards in the game while still encouraging your team to go after the main objective
When they unlocked the mega-sniper rifle is the same moment I deleted the game.
I think what would work for XDefiant is to bring specialist bonuses for kills or for completing objectives and customize the advantages we want to give us individually. I think it would be a really cool idea instead of streaks like in CoD.
Id say it would be nice to have more abilities per faction rather than just two. Different nades, maybe a thermite like nade ?
The most frustrating thing about call of duty for me was teammates not playing the objective.
I just dont know if they could even implement streaks if they wanted to. Like besides uav and counter uav what streaks would be balanced in this game? I cant think of any that wouldnt conflict with the devices and class gadget and ult
If not streaks okay but kill cams and play of the game needed. More gun skins to work towards and banners etc for profile. They need a TDM and some mode that’s their own gimmick to make it more team fun. Be cool if you lock in your fav faction and can do missions rewards to that faction to unlock more content for your avatar or a gun skin or other abilities

i'd say the kill cams and p.o.t.g makes for a neat addition, however i think banners and emblems are interesting but pointless imo. What purpose do they serve other than to tell someone that you played alot. whatever xdefiant has in store for the future, im looking forward to it.

Heads up for possible future news, but I've some "stuff" in my 40 levels played. Im on console, so i have IBMM turned on. However, and you may have noticed as well, when I join a new lobby and the screen populates the player list (name, console, input type, etc), i will often see keyboard and mouse show up as the input, but then quickly switch to controller. I figured it might just be a loading glitch where it sees PC and just shows KBM anyways for a sec, but i investigated a bit further. I watched who had the KBM icon for a moment in the next few games. Every one of them was CRACKED compared to the rest of the leaderboard with regards to accuracy and movement, and this spans like 4 or 5 different players i watched/followed. I believe the PC players have found a way to mask the keyboard/mouse as a controller, which the game doesnt have anyway of preventing as of current. For example, programs like inputmapper let you spoof a PS controller as an Xbox one, meaning the software that's supposed to interpret input types, your computer's OS in this case, thinks its something different. If this was available in any way for kbm, it can and will cause issues for anyone not intending to play against someone using wholly different peripherals than the game thinks they are.
This is false I'm afraid and already been addressed, I tested it myself you're locked to the peripheral you search with. So if I input on my keyboard then click search then plug in my controller it literally wont let me use my controller in game until the game is over and I exit the lobby. I'm pretty sure this was addressed by the devs a couple of weeks ago.
@@TheNeoSabre0 You wouldn't be searching with KBM if you're spoofing it as a controller to your computer before starting the game...you can also map the "navigation" buttons to the kb, meaning you don't need the kbm UI. The game wouldn't know it was a kbm because you would start the software that spoofs it BEFORE launching the game, meaning you'd be searching WITH a kbm AS a controller. So no, it hasn't been disproven at all, infact I was able to replicate it on my own PC. Don't spread lies, bro...
One thing about what abilities people are using they might still be trying to unlock the other characters in the faction
Thought I recognized the thumbnail LOL -- First off, wanted to say this is a really good video and extremely insightful. Second, I didn't expect my tweet to blow up, but rather have a discussion. I also want to correct myself and the tweet where I said "I feel XDefiant NEEDS killstreaks", when in reality it doesn't need killstreaks to thrive at all. Totally understand you should be working towards the objective, your ultimate, and winning the game. I also understand XDefiant should be its own game and separated from Call of Duty. Overall a great video and I'm on the side of wanting XDefiant to thrive. Played it 4 years ago when Ubisoft invited me to try it out. I think this game has a special place in the FPS genre. i feel like a lot cod players are so used to just going for kills in tdm games but never play objective games. and you have your abilities that are driven by your SCORE. there are definitely things to work for, it just takes more than a few kills to get them.
With time, these players will hopefully understand the enjoyment factor of this game.

Not every game needs abilities, killstreaks, perks, attachments, etc. It’s actually horrible. Thats why I’ll always consider the worst Halo titles to be better than the best of other FPS games with loads of hand holding BS in them. What ever happened to just…being able to shoot? You can’t play unless you hide with perks and get killstreaks that play for you? CoD isn’t even good. It’s popular for the same reason the “I called Sonic.exe at 3am!!!!” Videos here on CZcams. It’s made for kids.

This is something that's been a problem for alot of previous cod killers. The players kill their own game trying to just go for kills and making it unplayable for casuals and make long time players quit.
the Ultras in Xdefiant are basically streaks that you work towards that can literally flip a game lol this game is incredible as is, loving it!
I would like to see a kill streak give something else. Like idk, what if the game tracked kill streak accolades like “oh you got 200 10 kill streak accolades, here’s a character skin or weapon skin”
when i play xdefiant i work to be player of the game and man its one helluva job to do sometimes
for example: i had one lobby where a player got 97 kills and i had a little less than 50 its tough to do sometimes but hella rewarding
I was playing while hearing your video, and went 26 and 20 but top of scoreboard for more the 50% push in the objective, i feel rewarded for being an objective player

just want to point out it takes the same amount of time to say OBJ as it does to say objective.
This will become more evident when the ranked queue is launched, COD players will kill 100, lose the match and say ''my team sucks'' and their objective score will be at 0.
i think what they could do to satisfy these killstreaks/scorestreaks mentalities and those complaining about abilities is they could have a system similiar to scorestreaks but attached to abilities play the obj and you get your ability
as a cod and what my friends call me the sweat of the group. i agree with you. i lost 3 escort games back to back due to people leaving mid match and im the only one fragging out and play obj. it sucks, but i understand the point of the game and i can see that it doesnt need streaks.
Playing the objective is fun, but it’s not as rewarding if you are a solo player and everyone on your team is doing their own thing.
You can impact you team way more if you can get a score streak to help defend an objective
The only thing i would change is the kill cam. When I lose a gunfight, I want to see it from the enemy's perspective. That way, I can learn more from my mistakes. But other than that, I have been loving the game.

After playing shooter after shooter, i realised that i jump more ofthen that i shoot. This is just silly and makes me feel like i should just go back to quake.
Why do you need kill streaks when you already have abilities. That make that game so unbalanced not to mention it would kill gun gameplay
They can come up with more abilities for variety and replay ability instead of streaks.
what they should do is reward wins for example cool new skin unlock if you win 5 games in a row or win 20 games with an advantage of 250 points etc etc

I agree 100 percent! Tbh i never played obj back in cod because it felt more rewarding for me to go for killstreaks but now in this game im literally just playing to get player of the game which playing obj plus getting high kills gets you so much points. I currently play Phantom and it does a great job.
If streaks were to be added I think the only one that would fit would be support/non lethal streaks. I think this game would suffer with lethal ones and is also just fine without it so far.
I want a division agent to play! They have crazy good tech so you could have auto sentries, those little rolly pollies that track to an enemy and explode, and even more crazy stuff! So many universes they can pull from with this that new characters are gonna be good!

I completely agree. The best thing about this new game is that I think it becomes more like a shooter DBD where they could get more licenses for more characters as time goes on, and we could have a huge roster in the future
The thing your missing about using the pill and invis is that you have to use them to unlock the other characters

Yes. Don't bother playing much objective in this game you don't really get rewarded for it like this guy claims. You can get 50 kills and ignore the objective entirely and still be at the top of the scoreboard.
The Cod community treats all objective game modes like TDM with optional quests, and hardly encourages teamwork. Stuff like that kills the game for many people
I’m a COD player but it’s refreshing to play a game that’s not COD. What Ubisoft did with a free to play game is cool. But Ubisoft have a bad record of leaving or no longer supporting their games.
The ultra abilitity is our streak. I kinda wish you could keep the ult meter after switching faction
