I think Mr L could have killed Pico from the beginning but since they didn't want anything to do with him, he just drove him away.

You know what would have been cool was is Mr virtual at the last bit of the song drop his make and started rapping against the player, since he effectively can see us with him point at bf in a mocking tone

Yo Rez, that mario is like kinda similar to fatal error sonic, minus the extra arms and the third eye in his stomach, so in anyway case he's called mr. Virtual, V for short.

Also, don't mess with Mr. Virtual, the last time someone tried, let's just say they're in a better place. Mr. V is a master at manipulation and he can shapeshift into his victim's love ones in order to cause his victims to... hang themselves. As for Too Late.EXE/Mr. L, he's a spirit who already killed his Mario because of a little accident. Mario moved on, but Luigi didn't. Now, you really need to watch out for MX, he trapped an 8 year old kid name Lucas in the old school Super Mario Bros game. Lucas is Luigi in case you're wondering. OH right! I forgot about GB. He's an AI who once appeared in Super Mario 2: The Golden Coins. A mother had nightmares from the game and has died from GB as he says: "Those Golden Coins won't save you this time!"
