It’s a shame too see a rare car in this condition. I don’t know where the owner came up with 409hp. They were rated at 425hp which is a couple of hundred horsepower too low. If that drag car was in pristine condition without all the bullshit painted on it, it would be worth a king’s ransom. Chances are it’s no longer a 409 engine. It’s probably a crate engine and nothing is original anymore. I know a guy who lives a couple of blocks away and he has a 64 Fairlane Thunderbolt. He doesn’t race it because he has a brain. He does drive it in the summer and takes it to local show and shine events. He was offered 300k for it but he turned the guy down. Why? The guy was a poser. Driving a piece of garbage AMG McLaren Benz, and his attitude was “ hey, everybody look at me! We were looking at him but not for the reasons he thought. He would’ve taken the Thunderbolt and turned it into a piece of garbage just like this owner with the 409 ( 409 is open for debate ) My 69 442 W-30 would blow the doors off that “ 409 “ Anytime, anyplace, I’ll race him for 1k Money talks, bullshit walks. My Harley Nightrod would probably blow his doors off. I’ve gone up against a Suzi Hyabusa ( beautiful bike, and the fastest street bike in the world ) I beat him in the 1/4 mile. On the highway he would blow by me at close to 300mph.
I’m glad I found your channel. The comment I left may have sounded a little harsh but I try to respect any vehicle choice that a person owns. Just because I don’t like it doesn’t give me the right to put someone and their car down. My apologies to the owner of the 62 409. That was not my intention. My uncle’s neighbour had a wrecked 65 409. He was asking 10k for it and he got it. More spare parts for those who are searching for them.
'62s were rated at 409 hp , the '63-'64 cars were rated at 425 hp . '65s lost a carb and were rated at 400 hp , and only built until February of '65 , before being replaced by the 396 .
Beautiful car
Nice Car Beautiful Engine.
Biscayne 👀
Thank you for watching.
It says Biscayne on the back fender.
my bad.
"She's real swine my for oh nine..."
Who writes the click bait headlines? The quarter panel badge says Biscayne, or is someone embarrassed to identify it?
I wonder if these 58-64 chev owners have altered the split drive shaft. Weak link !!
Love how it says 409hp on the front fender lol no way is that only 400 horse
