I don't see where rain come into the conversation. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with rain. Just rearranging a date.

"Take a rain check" is a phrase verb. Of course, there are not any rains in this video

“Rain check” is an English expression from American English that originated in the 1800s from baseball games that were canceled due to rain or other bad weather conditions. The spectators were given a “check” or “voucher” to attend a future game. Today, not many American English speakers know where the expression originates from comes from, so it is used more idiomatically to express what is being taught in this video…However i must say “raincheck” sometimes does really mean “let’s reschedule” rather than avoiding the meeting all together.
