"The O Show" and High Strung are unique for Oedekerk fans for one reason. It was completely Steve. It was even called Steve.Oedekerk.Com when it first aired on NBC. I was fortunate enough to have met some employees from O Entertainment years ago and acquire copies of Vol 1 and 2 of the "The O Show." I've also met Vern Nelson who did allot of the early music for "The O Show" and "Santa VS the Snowman."

Holy holy holy crap, I never thought I’d find this show. I saw it live on tv. I happened to be looking up kung pow today and found this show I’ve been looking for since literally 2003

I remember stumbling upon this when it first aired, and I was mostly amazed that it made it to air because it's so strange. Now it's a time capsule of what computer animation looked like in the late nineties.
To think this was the guy who was partly responsible for Jimmy Neutron.
I mean, he's really pioneered 3D animation for TV here.
Now here's a dude who is literally putting everything on the line just to get a little attention. Even if the show is creepy, I give Steve major props for making this show because it's rare to find someone who would do all this embarrassing stuff and make it known to viewers his true personality. Steve is the man!

I remember seeing this when I was 13 and thinking it was the first episode of a new series. I checked the TV Guide for literally MONTHS before I realized it was a one-off special.
Same exact thing happened to me! I thought it got cancelled after one episode!
This is insane. I never imagine he would have made something so trippy, but now it makes perfect sense.
I love this. Always have, always will. I watched it when it was on air when I was 3 and at least once every other year since. Oedekerk, you're the best. I love all of your material you've made over the years. The only things I could ever wish for is: a sequel to "Kung Pow!" and at least one full season of "The O Show". I can't imagine my life without having seen this gold mine; I doubt I would be anything close to who I am, though.

I remember seeing commercials for this back in the 90s. For years I inaccurately remembered his name as the much more famous Bob Odenkirk. Bob Odenkirk is pretty big today after Mr Show, Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul, but back in 1997 he was just getting started.

Holy shit! My dad recorded this on a VHS and I remember watching it over and over again with my brother. It creeped us out and gave us nightmares, but we were totally obsessed and it unfortunately shaped our senses of humor. I saw a couple of clips from this show on Steve's official site a few years ago but obviously a lot of them were not shown there that was on here. it was good to see the full show for once. I have a question though. one that was supposed to be here was a song Steve did where he was a 800+ lb fat man and he went "i need a woman that can help me find my shoes" and this was supposed to be on this special but it wasn't. I can't find it online anywhere. I hope you can find it and post it. :)

Does anyone know what the target audience was for this ? Most signs point to 'pretty young' so teens or possibly even preteens, but a lot of the humor is very adult with how twisted and warped it is, like it's too weird for kids, so it's confusing.

There is a second volume that Oedekerk has released but no one has seen it due to its rarity to the public. On the "Oedekerk Report" channel, he was supposed to upload the second volume but hasn't due to tape issues.
