- Emma Swan and Regina Mills did not start out as friends. But as they grew to trust one another, they became a force unlike any other in the magical world.
One day, Regina and Emma find themselves at sea. In an attempt to right the ship during a heavy storm, Emma gets knocked unconscious underwater. In her stupor, Emma experiences a vision, showing her moments where Regina is the sole focus. As the team makes attempts to rescue Emma, they eventually bring her back on board - but she's not breathing. Something moves within Regina and she realizes that it is all caused by the thought of losing Emma. Her mind flashes images of Emma, and her heart grows heavy with the possibility of her demise. But Emma suddenly comes to, and both women reflect on their visions.
Returning to Storybrooke, Emma finds herself at war with her emotions and thoughts. It is as if her feelings for the mayor had intensified beyond what she thought was capable. But what Emma didn't know was that Regina was experiencing the very same thing. Interactions with one another overflow with a desire to assure the other is kept safe. They seem to find every single way to convey their feelings and get so close to admitting those feelings time and time again without a true confession. As they fall deeper and deeper in love, the struggle becomes all too real.
But then, the unthinkable happens.
A new curse, fresh with evil intent, is closing in on the town quickly. Immediately, Regina realizes what must be done. The town of Storybrooke and all of its character residents must return to their old lives in the Enchanted Forest for one year's time, saving the town and allowing them to return after. But at the cost of being forgotten in the real world. As Emma is a part of the real world, it will not include her, and she must leave Storybrooke while the town absorbs the curse, losing her memories completely of the town and its residents, or she will die.
Being encouraged by her parents and others, Emma looks to Regina. Knowing that they no longer had a future, Regina confesses that she must say goodbye to the thing she loves most. And Emma realizes that Regina is speaking of her.
With no time to react, Emma receives instruction and leaves Storybrooke, never getting the chance to tell Regina how she truly feels in return. However, as soon as Emma passes the town line, her despair disappears. But not for Regina.
After the year has passed, we find Emma living in New York. Regina and the others have returned to Storybrooke, and Regina uses a bit of magic to look in on Emma. But what she sees makes the dread she had already been feeling expand to new levels, and she is stricken with grief, watching the color practically fade out of her world as her heart melts away.
One day, a strange man (but what was once her best friend in Storybrooke) knocks on Emma's door, telling her that all she knows is a lie. As this man trails her across town, he convinces her to discover the truth, and she promptly returns to him after finding evidence of a life she doesn't remember. With a little magic, Emma is suddenly transported through time as her memories of her parents, of Storybrooke, and of Regina, come back to life.
Emma rushes back to Storybrooke in the middle of the night, only wanting to find Regina, but she is unsuccessful. Working with her parents to develop a plan at Granny's, Regina walks into the diner and sees Emma sitting there, and is overcome with shock. Thinking Emma doesn't know who Regina is, and before Emma even has a chance to explain that her memories have returned, Regina is gone. Regina realizes that she is unable to bear the thought of Emma back in Storybrooke without her memory. She makes the ultimate decision to leave the town she loves and cross it's line, eliminating her own memory of Emma and the love she continues to have for the Savior.
Without being able to find Regina, Emma turns to the town to seek information regarding Regina's whereabouts. Discovering her plan, Emma rushes away and speeds towards the town line as fast as her yellow bug can take her.
As Emma rushes towards the town line, we come to the point in the story where, as always, true love's magic finally gives them a chance...

I was so into it that I didn't even realize ten minutes went by and got sad that it was the end. This was absolutely amazing I loved every single moment of it

Alright where to begin! lol. I have to say I've never noticed the panicked look on Regina's face before, both when Emma hits the water and when she's on the deck. I've always loved the look on Regina's face when she takes the root beer (it's those 'come and get it ' eyes). I felt Emma's collapse onto the sofa was a perfect representation of Swanqueen fans' exasperation of wanting to see this as canon, as well as Emma's frustration ;)
"I want you to stay safe" never mind giving her the gun, give her a hug! lol. you chose some of the best SQ moments.
I loved the clips from 'I'll be your mirror " for me that episode really brought back the Swanqueen vibes.
Naturally you had to have Leroy yelling about the curse. No one else could do it justice (I did have a little giggle when I heard his voice)
The look of devastation on Regina's face mixed with the music, when the 'solution' dawned on her, was not only tear inducing it also gave me goosebumps. That goodbye is always hard to watch, Regina is always more upset than the Charmings! The ' drive off' music mixed with the voice overs only made that scene more saddening because only Regina would remember those moments. loved how you used the ' echo effect ' as a way of showing those memories fading from Emma's mind.
I did wonder how you would use the scenes with Hook. Great cutting off the scenes to, once again, show what you wanted us to see.
poor Regina really doesn't know how to let go, torturing herself by watching Emma through the mirror (excellent effect btw). I felt in this case the mirror deserved what it got for trying to mess with the Swanqueen feels XD
It was so sad watching the colour literally fade from Regina's world ; having her look at what I imagine used to be a place of laughter and love and seeing the life being sucked out of it. just shows how deep she truly feels.
"I will follow you" is a great song choice. I felt it started a bit too soon and made it look as though she had feelings for Hook. However I can understand why you started it when you did as the lyrics "I love you" timed perfectly with the flash back. (and hell yeah to Regina being Emma's true love! lol)
when Regina was looking at her ring you want to yell "hold on she's coming!"
I always love the music you choose to build up the scene. (9.28-10.06) That mixed with the voice overs had me grinning like an idiot! "hold on Regina your white knight is coming!" lol I've always loved the look on their faces when Emma gets out of the car, and never mind stroking her arm Regina needs to take Emma's hand! lol.
Having a Henry quote was really sweet then having Emma say "we already had" after snow's voice over was just perfect.
it sucks that this can't be watched on a mobile device but thankfully I sussed out how to work around that from one of your other videos (say something).
Another amazing video to add to your ever growing library. keep up the great ideas. :)

To be honest - I never noticed the looks of panic before either! I totally discovered them by accident, and then when I did, I got so excited because I knew it would be a perfect lead in 😉
"I'll Be Your Mirror" is probably one of the best Swan Queen centric episodes we've been given since the finale of Season 4. It was utter perfection and I'm so glad it came out while I was completing this vid.
Creating the "curse" and Emma leaving scene was one of the hardest to do because it was so intricate and emotions were all over the place for all of the characters. So narrowing it down and making the story move forward in a seamless way was a challenge. So I am so glad to hear that it came across EXACTLY as I had hoped to viewers like you (and yeah - Leroy HAD to be the culprit lol; glad you got a surprise giggle out of it!).
I've always said that I see Emma and Hook as being the best of "bro friends", so I wanted to try and capture that in this vid.
THANK YOU for noticing the significance of the "color fading out of Regina's world" clip! That was meant to be such a poignant moment and I'm so glad you caught it in its full scope ❤️.
To be honest, I cut down the "I Will Follow You" song down to only about 30% of what it actually is lol - but I needed to keep the first verse and the final verse in it, hence the awkward starting point. But yes, in the end, it was because it needed to line up with Emma's memories returning and the "true love" line.
I'm so glad you saw the importance of the music choice with the scenes and the voice overs! You grasped exactly what I wanted to convey - so that makes me so happy that it worked. And I am SO GLAD you enjoyed it as much as you did. That alone is exactly why I make these videos 😊.
The ending as a whole was the second most challenging part of making this video, so hearing that you thought the voice overs were perfect and the build up was perfect really makes me feel validated lol. So thank you for that!
Yeah - the mobile device thing sucks lol (you can blame the "I Will Follow You" song on that haha - but as you said yourself, it was the perfect song pick, so I decided to leave it in for the sake of the video lol).

i just wanted to say how much i love your videos. i am jus watching them all, but my fave is the dark Emma storyline for now. your editing is out of this world, seriously :) i know how hard this can be working more than a day on just one video.
i have to say i actually feel quite inspired to work on a video again myself, its been a while. i started new projects several times, but could never get myself to do so.
after watching your videos and seeing all the different secens you used i think i need to start watching the show from the beginning again so i can make notes and write possible lines down from various people. i actually plan a video with a whole storyline aswell and i hope mine will be just half as good as yours once im done :)

It's a great process 😊 And as for the song, I'm more so trying to work with the record label to a "gratis" license, to use the song in my video without them muting it for free or a low cost fee, and they make the money off of it and/or from the ads displayed.
