There is a Japanese rock band called X-Japan. Theyâre from the mid to late 80s. One of the most influential rock bands in Japan. Gene Simmons has also gave praise to them. Since you said you are more into old school metal bands maybe give them a try. I recommend either Kurenai or Rusty Nail from their âlast liveâ. Welcome to check out their music videos too if you donât want to watch them live. (Since they are older, theyâll mostly be in all Japanese)
Japan has a crazy amount of metal bands that are gaining popularity recently, so if you ever want to go down that rabbit hole, get ready to bring a parachute cause itâll be a long fall.
