    There’s a fella over here down under with a don ness built 66 nova, power glide, lock up converter, mark Williams rear end etc. and he has a 481x w/ twin 102mm billet turbos and fueltech FT500... all up the car owes him over $250,000 excluding running costs and transport. Unfortunately these engines aren’t for everyone :(

      The 481X is a 100k dollar engine. They can make more than 5000+ hp.

      Buy an LSX build the bottom end and turbocharge it to get that 1500 daily for 80k less then a running 481x. You don’t buy this engine unless you’re very serious about drag racing.

      If you think about the revolutions it will blow your mind. That motor might turn over 300 times. Maybe less.

  • @TheRoguelement
    @TheRoguelement Před 6 lety +1

    I'm trying to understand with all the PSI your stuffing into these motors how exhaust wasn't improved but rather intake ?????? What cubic inches have proved more efficient I know at some point the larger cubic inch engines start working against performance ?

    • @jdias51
      @jdias51 Před 6 lety +3

      Michael Laverty its all about internal weight and balance bigger cubic inches equal more weight more rotating mass equals destruction at higher rpm a smaller more efficient motor can take more rpm because of less rotating mass/weight therefore they can push more air through the turbos or procharger and for race cars it works better because they leave the line at lower rpm and boost so as not to spin the tires then ramp in the rpm and boost so once the tires are hooked they can get topend mph safely and consistently

    • @Willdabeest27
      @Willdabeest27 Před 2 lety

      Is 540 cubic inches a good balance
