In Sir Alex’s days, with any signings made, their temperament, work rate and desire to win were just as important as their ability. When he left, that seems to have left with him. More than one manager has complained about the standards at United, and until all the players who are not good enough and have bad attitudes are gone, this club is going nowhere. Ronaldo was taken aback by the lack of professionalism, and young players who thought they knew it all and he was right

    • Darth Watson
Darth Watson Před 16 dny +1

@Muyiwa Fashola Ten Hag was asked a question as to why Sancho wasn't in the squad and he explained why. Do you exepect him to lie?. I wasn't like Ten Hag mentioned it by himself.
I think Ten Hag wants Sancho to do well, last season he gave Sancho three months off to sort himself out.
Rashford and Garnacho both didn't sulk about it last season. They both got their heads down and both managed to get back in the squad.
I want Sancho to do well, he's a good player and I was hoping he would improve this season, however when you hear reports of him having problems with lateness and motivation in training at Dortmund. It's becoming a common theme. If he didnt say clap back on twitter, he would probably be starting this week due to the Antony situation.

That’s Sancho’s problem it seems to be everybody else’s fault but his. He watching everyone else but himself and concentrating on what he needs to do to get to where he needs to get. Sancho is on 350k a week not producing and hasn’t produced from before Ten Hag has been there.

I think the problem is the difference in standards of Ten Haag and Sancho.
The manager wants more and i don’t think that is unreasonable considering what Sancho has achieved at Man Utd or rather lack of achievements.
The manager did the same last season with other players. Sancho just isn’t strong enough mentally to better himself and push himself. He got all his money now and seems to have think he has made it.

  • SINGHDASLAYA
    SINGHDASLAYA Před 16 dny +2

The best thing United can do now is sell sancho in January and use the money to bring in the players that he wants. In my eyes Ten Hag does have his favourites that are likely getting away with a lot but changing managers every 2 seasons is what got United in this hole of mediocrity in the first place.

    • Carnivore
      Carnivore Před 13 dny

      Good luck selling Sancho.
At best will United be able to give Sancho away in January while paying most of Sancho's wages at the same time.
      Losing 70-80M minimum.
And that will hurt our transfer window next summer with that much less for new transfers.
Great job by ETH going public with this instead of taking it inside the club.
There were zero reasons for ETH to out Sancho in public and now it has cost him, the club and us very many millions in next year's transfer window.
      Hope you love that.

Imagine if my boss at work questioned my work ethic and I told him he's lying 😂. It doesn't matter how hard I think I'm working, if my boss still doesn't think I'm giving enough then his word is final and I have two options: Meet HIS standards or leave. What Sancho did here is detemine his own standards that he can live to in the team. Unless there's something deeper we don't know, I don't know how I can defend Sancho here.

Nathan Crudup Před 16 dny +3

Exactly my thoughts. I’ve been in management for a while and seen this exact thing quite a bit. Ten Hag probably does give Sancho less slack than others, but that only happens after repeated disappointment. If two employees show up late to work, the one who is typically punctual will be treated differently than the one who is habitually tardy.

    • Michael Koulibaly
Michael Koulibaly Před 16 dny +1

@Fozayel Kadir that's why I said "Unless there is something deeper that we don't know". But what we do know for sure is that ten Hag has made an effort to protect him and even gave him THREE MONTHS OFF during a season when we didn't have squad depth just so he could get his mind and fitness right. Other managers wouldn't even given him a chance and would sell him immediately when he wasn't performing. But ten Hag was very patient.

    • Michael Koulibaly
      Michael Koulibaly Před 16 dny

During Ole's regime we had poisonous players such as Pogba, Sancho, Greenwood, Maguire, Rashford and others. Ten Hag had a tough job dealing with the Ronaldo comedy. He seemed to straighten out Rashford but the others continued their negative attitudes. Pogba leaving was huge as he was the leader of the rat pack. Now he is dealing with Sancho and must get the player off the squad. It will take time to rid the team of these negative players but in the end it will be worth it.

Im no fan of ETH but when you're on £350k a week (£50k aday) all you need do is turn up on time, do as the manager asks and "If" you have a grievance, keep it in house.
I'm terrible in the mornings, I genuinely really struggle and often sleep straight through my alarms (yes I have several) but im self employed, its my pocket Im hurting. But if I was employed and earning just an average wage, I'd have my mum ringing my mobile and my sister ringing my landline to make sure im up on time.

Sancho or his agents are trying to push ETH out or force a January transfer it seems. Because 1) if you’re late, how do you know others are late? 2) if you’ve been given special training in Netherlands, you’re not on the same standard of others, 3)each player is held to standards that matches them and their value so Sancho constantly comparing himself to others is one of those immature behaviors your parents tell you to never do. Because the inconsistency I see is Sancho being given special attention (Netherlands training) etc. and not performing at the expected level upon his return.

Hey Terry. I dnt know where to stand on this..... I've read reports from previous coaches and they've all said Sancho needs some extra attention to get him at his best. Some coaches and players have said they had to set his start time early so he'd be on time and some have said they had to go to his room to get him up on time so I dunno (I'm a Chelsea fan)

If Sancho is calling out his teammates now even without naming them he will be done at the club. No way you can call out the manager and players without consequences, right or wrong. Damage is done and Ronaldo is a great example of what will probably happen. I could be wrong but at the moment I don’t see any other way this plays out.

Sancho was given three montga to sort himself out last season and ETH stuck by him then he does this. People say he shouldn't have said anything in the media if he said something different they would label him a lair. We all know as well that some of media have an issue with ETH. He has laid down the law and thats it if people or players don't like it find another club.

Both in the wrong, but how is that the Glazers fault. ETH should of kept it in house and Jadon shouldn't have made that post. Personally I think ETH is feeling the pressure of managing United. Not saying he isn't a good manager, just that its bigger demands than he has had before.

Both sides are wrong but it started with Ten Hag. It was an in-house matter that he made public all because he was butt-hurt after losing to Arsenal! Two weeks later he's still claiming he was hard done by the result and hasn't accepted responsibility the same way he claims Sancho hasn't!

Quite frankly, breaking the rules and then complaining that other people are also breaking the rules without penalty, is no excuse.
Anyway, I suspect that this response is his agent now setting the ground for a transfer out of the club.
Not sure I agree about his behaviour outside the club not being important as when you are a very highly paid representative of one of the biggest sporting organisations in the world, how you conduct yourself outside of football is very important. The same applies to all high profile employees of course.
