    Great video again KAMi,your the best e-skate content creator out there all without talking but actions speak louder than words in my book,and like your no gimmick videos.....Funnily enough only this week I was looking at these on Ali-express and I'm interested in buying parts to put my own DIY together and this looks almost plug and play after you've got all the parts.Ideal for me I think.

      Yeah me neither but what a great product to start to understand what all those different parameters mean.And if its as good as it looks there with more than enough power it looks as long as you've got a good battery,motors and good gearing.... I bet you could leave most boards standing! Depending on what deathwish settings you want out of it.😂 I definitely would love to approach the 50mph mark with the right set up.🤔

    Also what what be the max battery amps for an Ownboard Carbon AT using stock battery of 10s4p.
    Probably not very strong, way less than 90amps?
    Guessing this part is important, as it could draw too much from battery, and damage battery??
    Should I drop it?

  • @paulr3556

    Hello, awesome review n demo video as always.
    Quick question, how does reverse work? No having to click any of the two buttons first? Is it if you hold brakes on for a certain amount of time?, and how, does it know when motors are at full stop? Otherwise if you go down a hill and keep brakes on for that time frame, it will kick into reverse while you still going forward?
    And potentially throw you off?
    I plan to use this combo to replace Ownboard original carbon AT remote n ESC
    (It has newer ESC with remote with screen display.)
    It's a only a 10s board, so after setting ESC to 10s via remote, can I use the 60amp motor max and 120amp battery current max settings on the stock Ownboard battery?, or should I drop it to the 50A motor max n 100A battery current max?
    Thanks in advance.😊

    • @KAMiJUINs
      @KAMiJUINs  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Hello, thank you for watching my videos.
      In the case of reverse, if you keep pulling the remote throttle, the board will brake and then reverse according to the set reaction time for reverse operation. (It does not move backward immediately after stopping. You can set the interval seconds.)
      In the case of hills, it depends on the slope, but if the slope is large, you may not be able to reverse.
      If the slope is gentle, you will be able to move backward after stopping, but the backward speed will be slower than on flat ground.
      To determine the output amps of your ESC, you need to know the type of cells and configuration of the battery pack you are using.
      With that, you can find the maximum discharge rate and the amount of available current accordingly.

    Really interesting product at that price... It looks very similar to spintend vesc but flipsky just put its own software on top. Did u test it at full 100a per motor?

    • @KAMiJUINs
      @KAMiJUINs  Před 5 měsíci

      I tested it with a battery pack with a total discharge rate of 180A. And I set a total of 120A for the current. This was really powerful for a street type E-board. And I think 100A per motor would be fine if you went over to an off-road board.
      And I've tried both of those ESCs, but I felt like this and the Spindend ESC were on a completely different level.
      This was because the tool program was fully built into the remote.

      I don’t get it. There are Hobbywing and Ling Yi ESCs if you don’t want to get a VESC-based controller. Though I’m not even sure why you would need or want a closed-source alternative to a freely available open-source design.

      @@BlownMacTruck I Agree, although VESC is bloatware and not esk8 specific. It's great if you intend to squeeze every bit of performance from your VESC-based ESC and you're a DIY junkie. However for the %99.5 of folks getting into DIY esk8, VEST is just overkill and a hurdle. I see us getting closer and closer to RC car-style setup - possibly even using a programming card like Hobbywing already does.

      -And check the ESC type and control type in the settings of the VX4 remote.
