I just discovered the ceiling paint glitch with round rooms this week. Cuz I was depressed and thought trying to build a round house would help. Spoiler: it did not. Most builders I follow will throw a cc build into the mix every so often. I think that's a reasonable approach.
I think CC in builds is interesting when it is a really unique build, that you couldn't build without, like the mediveal build for your DnD Characters
I prefer builds that don't have cc because my Sims 4 game works sometimes and sometimes not. But either way, I play with mosty base game and few kits so it doesn't really matter to me because chances I can't use the buidl anyway 🙃.
Honestly? I don't mind it either way. I like the puzzle-like feel of non-CC houses (and i like downloading them), but I also like seeing the fancy builds people manage to make with CC (like a build i saw of an aquarium filled with CC fish). Might be fun to do a build with CC, a build without CC, and so on!

I don't really download builds much, so my opinion may differ - but I really don't care if cc is being used in a build or not, sometimes I prefer it cause LOOK, ANOTHER CUTE PLANT!
Can you imagine how insane the galley builds would be if we had like a month instead of a week to build? This community is already scarily good at building so I can't even begin to picture the kinda shit these people can make of given 3 extra weeks.

Also I don’t mind if people do CC builds. It means I get to go cc shopping after. This other builder I watch will do maybe one cc build a month then link where she got her stuff. CC creators are a big part of the Sims community and it’s great to showcase their craft skills cause like OMG. A lot of what they create is literal art. They are so talented and their cc can often help you tell your Sim stories better.
I don't play the sims, so I'm not the best person to answer, but I like when creators use custom content. I just think it's fun to see new items
I've only been here for a few months. I didn't really use CZcams to watch anything but music videos until about 6 months ago.
I'm new, but I think you're just great. Keep being 100% yourself. It may be drawing the jerks who never really accepted you out, but it also keeps drawing in more people who follow you for who you are.
Edit: I would like to see cc builds from you, but maybe not exclusively? I would still love to download your builds, especially considering you list your cc, but not everyone can. So maybe every other speed build Saturday, or every 3rd Saturday of the month or something? Either way, your builds are always great!

I prefer watching speedbuilds without cc, just because I kind of love the way it makes people get super creative with what is in the game - but I think you should just do whatever you want! Especially if there's something you want to build, but you can only do it with cc, just go for it! ♥
And it just sucks so much that people are leaving your channel because you started to share more about your culture... I enjoyed every video where you talked about it, I just think it's always interesting to learn more about other people and places, etc...

I kinda don't care if you use Cc in the builds or not. On one hand I really like watching builds without cc, because it shows me how I can use existing objects, and it's inspiring. But on the other hand, especially if you do a build for a certain niche topic, I think it's super fun to watch you build with cc, because you can just do so much more cool stuff^^
I love both cc and non-cc builds, but I've also noticed that whenever I watch a speedbuild that has cc, it makes me come up with creative ways to replicate it in my game without cc and it's weirdly inspirational (and has taught be how to bend the basegame to my will)

Me personally i like watching builds with CC because i just enjoy watching what you make with creative freedom!! I rarely download builds that i watch be made, i usually watch builds to see what you make or to get inspiration for my own builds (and i havent played the game raw since i was a child lmao)

I go both ways on build cc. I like seeing the creativity of using the same items in different ways, but I also like the range of different cc there is to offer
I honestly enjoy both custom content and pack builds. In my own personal opinion it really satisfying watching custom content builds in the sims 4 and I also feel you can get more ideas for builds with custom content. Also since you clean you mods folder you can have another page for the custom content you use in builds for that.
Use all the CC you want! I don't download builds off the gallery because I like building. I watch speedbuilds for inspiration and for your top notch commentary. Build things that make you happy!
I actually love builds with no cc, there are lots of ways to make a building look better like the tool mod and build hacks and stuff. I love seeing simmers being creative with what they got. It's really cool and inspiring to see😁
Using custom content can inspire people to try cc that they might not have found otherwise. It is also nice to see stuff that I can't be bothered to do myself, especially sense I can't be bothered to do more than edit existing builds in the game.

Honestly love learning about your heritage. I don't know what's wrong with some people smh. Also, I already don't have a whole lot of the packs/kits people use, so most the time builds look weird when I download them. I'd say if you've got the build/buy cc in your Mod Masterlist there's no reason *not* to do it? I get the thing with console players though, but it's not like *every* build has to be filled with CC. I say go for it if you enjoy it more and feel like you have more freedom to do what you want.
I like a mix of CC and non-CC builds! I really like to see the cool cc people make/use but also downloading it can be a pain/unaccessible so its nice to also see what you can do with the game alone
10:43 this used to be a thing with the info section but yt decided to remove it. Like how they removed DMing. Like you could talk to people within the app years ago, it was actually extremely neat. But all the good features get removed and instead we get more ads.
I don't mind CC in builds I typically won't download builds anyways because I don't have every single pack or kit I just love watching how creative people are and seeing some new ideas. Even with the CC I've never seen before people put a lot of work into creating it and I think that's so cool. Also screw those people who don't want to hear about different cultures, they need to realize the world is way bigger than them.

I don’t have a preference for cc in ur builds I think a lot of cc can honestly make a build but if I ever wanna download it and I don’t have those mods, I usually enjoy decorating with a touch of my own aesthetic to replace it anyway, regardless, love u fgg live ur life bestie
I like the builds without CC, because it adds to the challenge of thinking outside the box with what we have in game. Yet I also don’t mind the builds with CC. I used to download other people’s builds, but it started to break my game, so I just deleted them all, and just appreciate other people’s builds through channels like yours now! 💜

So I like the speed builds you do with custom content even though it does kinda mean I personally can't actually download them. For mental health reasons I kind of have to avoid CC shopping because I can, and will, fall down a rabbit hole spend a whole week just downloading content and end up so overwhelmed and burnt out that I get physically ill.
I don't have strong feelings on CC build videos tbh, but there is a Sims builder that I watch who throws in a CC build every now and then, and it's kinda cool bc it's showcasing people's work/art for this game that they love. If you let viewers know where you got the CC from, then if they're interested they can find and download it - maybe put links in the description? I know you'll put them in the Discord, but there are probably people who watch your vids who aren't in the Discord and I wouldn't want them to feel left out. Would be fun to see an FGG CC build, could be chaotic :D

about the CC thing I think a mix of non-CC builds and CC builds is good because I like watching CC builds but they give unrealistic ideas of what my builds are supposed too look like and can be confusing to newer sims players who cant tell whats CC and whats not. But I definitly do want to see some CC builds with the clarification that they are CC :)
I’m happy either way regardless of whether the builds have cc or not. If the build is exclusively/all cc, that’s where I have issues because of my personal game. Also this is off topic, but your voice sounds so pretty when you speak Arabic, it’s just nice to listen to.

RE: CC builds - No thanks, please. I don't use build CC for storage space reasons and i love downloading your stuff. If you started doing CC-heavy builds, i wouldnt be able to anymore. Being like "awoo bark bark i am putting this in fucking newcrest right the fuck now" is a big part of why i enjoy your speedbuilds

I really enjoy the creativity of people using no CC to build- feels cool that everyone has the same starting place (theoretically ofc, not everyone has packs) but makes unique things. Weirdly, I only like CAS videos where people use CC so, make it make sense haha
5:51 I made a carnival out of that with a casino. The dart range was the hardest to make. That's a fun challenge you made as it made me think outside the box. 8:17 Also I hate it when people hate people as I don't care what people do unless it actually hurts people who don't want to be hurt.
I think it's interesting seeing builds with cc, because then it makes you wanna get said cc if you want to. I don't care either way personally, though. I just like watching you build whatever it is. :)
One thing I miss about the old FGG vids is the storylines. Janine Christmas, Bean living in the walls, etc! I would love a new storyline and let's play to hyper focus on!! Also I love CC builds! People can still download them and most items will be replaced with ones they own so it's no problem and you get to see how creative the original build is with the different stuff.

I don't personally mind CC in a video, as long as it's accessible and the person that posts the video links it or at least is able to point towards where they found it, because sometimes I fall in love with a piece of CC, but can't find it, and the person that shows it off won't say where they got it😭
Also, the way I find out what CC I use for my Sims or lots is with the Sims Tray Importer thingy, and the CC report list that TwistedMexi's BiggerBetterBuildBuy is adding (Idk if it's added yet)!
personally i prefer that speed builds don't have CC because i get a lot of my building inspiration from videos and if i see something cool i recrate it in my own build, but with CC it makes me feel sort of left out that i cant do that since i dont have any CC at all

You could pass of the round areas as water tanks and there you have a very eco friendly home
I personally prefer watching videos of creators who don't use Build Buy CC because I tend to get a lot of my inspiration for playthroughs via builds and I like being able to download said builds. But, end of the day, it's your channel and do what makes you happy. :)
I've been doing the shell challenge she set, and my power has gone out a few minutes ago, but I've managed to get it back on now i saved my work right before it went off and it didnt save it!!!!!!!!!! 2 days off work down the drain!!!!!!!!!!! I was so excited about it, but now i dont think I've got the energy to do it again. But im gonna try.

As for the CC question, I love being able to see it, but as a console player it gives me a little FOMO. My opinion, do a balance of both? Some without CC for the challenge and those that don’t use it, and some with when it matches your inspiration? Anyway, love your videos! You rock! And don’t be afraid to live your true life on your channel. Embrace your heritage as much or as little as you like. You are who you are, and that person makes this random internet person chuckle and smile.
I honestly don't like build buy custom content unless it matches the game. If it's maxis then I honestly think it's cool to have extra clutter and plants etc; especially since you're willing to share your cc links so people can still use your builds (other than console players)
i think i would prefer builds without cc bc i like seeing which pack items you're able to pair together (im not really a good builder but one day...one day i'll give it the old college try). but will watch any content you produce regardless bc i vibe with you :)
Honestly. I could never do such a good build. my best build so far Is the Lunaris Bar and Restaurant but that one is not very good and needs a makeover. (by the way Trampellino is my Sims creator name if you wanna see my builds and Sims, but they arent very good)
I don't mind when people build with cc, honestly the sims4 lacks a LOT in terms of furnitures, even in swatches, so cc comes in clutch !
My only ick is alpha cc but that's just me wanting items to match eachother in rendering style 😅

I honestly prefer builds without CC. CC overwhelms the shit out of me. In addition to that I love seeing how creative people can get with stuff we already have in game. You can download anything sure, that's easy. Working with what you have is what's challenging and inspiring to me.
I think using like a custom content pack and linking to it, especially if you feel really inspired by building with it is fine.

I can’t build without CC now, so I don’t mind if your builds (or any other creators ) have CC. It’s the same thing as players who doesn’t have all packs, kits etc and it could be interesting to replace the fournitures with something else. In any way I always change one things or two when I download from the gallery, to fit more the personality of my sims 😊

I think that CC is fine. Honestly, I haven't purchased any packs so far so it'd be nice to know what I can build/download with just the base and whatever CC looks good.
I prefer builds without CC because sometimes I discover an amazing swatch of furniture through a speed build but builds with CC are also so pretty
I only like CC in videos when I can download the CC, too. So, a CC list with links to the creators is how I'd prefer it. I do tune out if CC is used in a build video, and I have to try to track it down using the tiny amount of info I can see and hear during the video.
For CAS videos, I don't care about the CC list. But that is probably because I am a builder when I play.
I like the cc, especially when you find a set that inspires a build to put it in. And you know, I know that followers are important but if people are going to leave when you talk about your individual experiences, like, screw them. Makes me wonder if anyone left over you talking about being Goth, you know? Also, spacing out the build challenges would be great for me because I never have time to participate and would like to try if we had two weeks instead of one, so my vote is yes on that one.
I wanted to build something with spirits, either a haunted speakeasy or maybe a hidden spirit spa underneath a combini or something. If either of those spark an idea, please use it. I’m not a good builder but I try. And I love seeing your and the community’s builds, including this one definitely. The style is very nice and the juxtaposition is perfect.
Circular rooms are nice, but super glitchy still imo. I think doing build challenges, shells, etc are fun ways to get out of your rut!
I feel mixed about using custom Contant in speed builds mainly because it makes it less likely that it can be downloaded off of the gallery. But I also like the idea of including custom content if it expands your creativity, so maybe do a mix where you do with custom content and others you don’t or maybe do a build with custom content, and then later rebuild it without the custom content.
I am waiting for you to be asked to do two versions of each build: one with CC (for the video), and one without CC (for the gallery upload). I would like both sets of builds, but I will admit that there are some builds that I love that you don't post on the gallery.
To make the circles actually perfect circles, you need to bring in the adjusters for the individual fourths pieces 🤷🏻♀️ idk why they didn’t make it just work putting the fourths together without any adjustments, but there ya go I suppose 😅
I am a console player and I think it depends. If it is like a high fantasy kind of build or anything that could be made very interesting with CC than that’s fine but for like “normal” builds I prefer no CC.
I prefer CC builds because I enjoy people using the full extent of their creativity and I use CC in my builds so I just enjoy the aesthetics :)

To answer your question: If you feel that the concept for the build you intent to create would pretty much need certain CC objects, than by all means, go for it. Personally, it's not like I would try to replicate the exact same buildings you do, I'm not a builder simmer. But in these cases, you'd do well by giving a disclaimer that there will be CC content in the house, y'know?
BTW, it would be really cool if you make some CAS competition at the same token as the builds competitions, like, give us a prompt for a certain type of character, and we have to do our best to create some sims in the prompt, while the personality and backstory of the sim can be visible by visual storytelling. Something like that.
For instance:
9:49 Depends on if you are challenging yourself on the content limited challenge. If you are than maybe you can have a Vs. build challenge where you have all custom content in one build and all EA Maxis content in another. Or maybe you can do a DLC select content thing where one room is one content, one is another, and so on.
I'm guilty of tuning out when it's a normal (ish) build with cc. I love when it's a themed build with cc though!
Custom content builds can be fun from time to time. I know it's not as simple as "build what you are inspired to build!" Maybe a way to try and keep everyone happy is to keep a cc build to one or two downloads from the same creator and list the links in the description. Honestly though, I'll watch your videos regardless of what they're about. 😂
I think if you want to use cc it would be fun to see what your able to when not just limited to the ea catalog, also am I the only person that constantly checks the community tab like if I like a creator I will look there at least a couple times a week?

Regarding using build CC, it might be fun to see you use some to make something that feels stylistically cohesive, and it might even make me feel better about using CC in my own builds which I am tentative to do. Even if it's just one video it's worth a try. Also, about those people leaving the channel, that's really crap. It's not like you or your content have changed just by you talking about who you are, and it's not right if that's why they left. Personally I enjoy hearing you talk about your culture because it's something I know very little about, and learning new things is fun and interesting! Especially juxtaposed with inappropriately shaped builds. Those of us who actually care will still be here to support you, we'll just become a more tolerable and welcoming community without them. That being said, the build is actually so cool. I usually don't like monochrome, but it just works here and the shape doesn't seem that sus from the inside.
