I tried this today in work its nice very smooth...but it was room temp I had to add a bit more ice an let sit for a few minutes solid 8/10

I love doing this at work, but I go further and heat it hot, you still get that cool “nitro” look and a good foam that lays at the top, it’s like drinking a foaming americano but no milk it’s great, I also like it cold but I always drink my americano hot

What is the temperature supposed to be at the end after steaming? Is it still cold or already warm?

It will likely be slightly cooler than room temp when you finish. I like to add a couple extra ice cubes afterwards to make it colder.

It's a cold drink. The ice keeps the Americano cold while the action of steaming the beverage makes it "nitro".

Azrael summed it up nicely. It's not intended to be a hot drink. If you steamed it too far or it's lukewarm at the end, you can add some extra ice afterwards.

Thanks for the suggestion, I just added step by step directions to the video description. The result in cup will be a little cooler than room temperature, but you can make it colder by adding more ice at the end (which I prefer).

The tase is similar to a normal americano brewed with the same recipe, but a different texture and temperature.

Hot! If it's adjustable, probably the highest setting, as this will give the best steam pressure and be more effective.

Like Chris said, higher temperature/pressure is better. The goal is to get as much air into it as quickly as possible without heating the drink too much.
