- Demonstrating specifically two items about this product: 1) You can make music anywhere - here I'm at my desk at work (Hey, I'm on my break, okay?). And 2) despite what most reviewers will tell you, it is possible to eke out some half-decent mod wheel and pitch bend performance out of the unit, though it will never be seen as a replacement for a real full-sized keyboard.

This reminded me of the live version of Lines in the Sand by Dream Theater, really cool :)
Thats musicianship. Thanks for sharing.
@Patch3ll that is Spectrasonics Atmosphere. I don't think they sell Atmosphere anymore, but all the those samples/patches are integrated into their new version plug-in sampler called "Omnisphere"
already just bought it a few minutes ago, I'll take the Bus 47, to Liniers, to pick mine! Hapinnes!
Thanks for the video man! You decided for me!
You have just successfully convinced me to own one.
i am so getting one of those now i like the black ones they're awesome
very good sound!!
Very good example.... Very, VERY good!
Amazing ! Excellent demonstration, man. Would like to setup a nanoKey with my Traktor.
killer synth tone
nice bladerunner-esque sound!
The two wedding rings are an interesting touch . . .
The breathy strings intro is Spectrasonics Atmosphere and the heavy synth lead is a patch from Korg's Legacy WaveStation plug-in that I remember tweaking a bit to my own taste. I don't recall the specific name of either of these patches unfortunately. Hope that helps. Thanks for your interest.
Very nice !!!!!!!!!
That's Atmosphere doing the breathy strings. Good catch there. The lead is actually a tweaked patch from Korg's Legacy WaveStation plug-in.
Amazing!
Which is the pluing ? Very good.
Sounds Great! do you have any problems with the keys popping out?
Hey mate, AWESOME sounds. Which VST synth were you using?
I am buying one of these today! haha
Yes, I did have that happen during the first week. Freaked me out a bit as I couldn't at first figure out how to put it back together, but after some futzing finally figured it out. Hasn't happened since. (knock on wood).
good sound, , id like to try it with a saxophone sound!!!
Hi man it's awesome ! Can you explain how you get those sounds ? how you make the pedal behind ? I'm a newbee at keys. Thanks ! Cheers
@Patch3ll Damn right it is; get yours ASAP XD It'll definitely feel different compared to normal keyboards, but this one is just perfectly small, portable, efficient and even the "button-operated" mod and pitch wheels work fine! You seem to have more experience than me, so you'll definitely make great use of one of these. Awesome shit.
hiya, sounds great. whats the software your using with it?
man it sounds great, are you using a vst plugin???? which one??
Nice one but which software or app you are using to play that.....
Waiting for your reply.........
damn that is a good idea.
@nightshadetheexorcis
there's no sound on the nanokey it self, its a midi keyboard. You need some software like the M1le or FL Studio or what ever glkibler is using.
@glkibler Definatley sounds like the guitar sound I loved on an old wavestation. Do you use the newer 1.6 version of that particular software? The one that adds resonance?
It reminds me a little of Lines In The Sand (but taht's still DT :D, oh, and sound really awesome)
What were the first chords you were playing with the breathy strings in the intro?
Also... great vid.
good sound,,, id like to try it with a saxophone midi!!
HOW did you get that AWESOME sound?
It sounds like jordan rudess.! o.O
Can this be used in Reaper. What an awesome sound. What did you use to create the sound?
OK, I want one.
wooohooo i love it~~~~~
Sorry, I don't have the specific name of the preset at hand as I no longer have that Korg Legacy plug-in installed on my laptop. All I remember was it was one of the lead presets on the included WaveStation soft synth. I may have tweaked it a bit first but not enough that you wouldn't recognize if you heard it again if you happen to have that Korg plugin collection.
@DJPREUSS @DJPREUSS It works well (without delay) with a default soundcard (onboard)?
How did you get those sounds? Which plugin?
@TheKKCProduction i bought one as well as software (analog factory synth) and a thing for my mic and guitar.....haven't tried it out yet i will next month at first day...i am busy on my poem book and behind....
It is a useful keyboard, but the keys make a clicking sound.
They should be quiet pads. Still, it is good for carrying around
with an iPad and headphones.
@robinfinity
yeah, that's right. It really sounds like Lines In The Sand.
:D
I was thinking, can it be possibly to have 2 nanokeys: one set with lower octaves(left hand) and the other one with higher octaves(right hand) in order to play songs in a 4 octaves range using 2 nanokets? if yes, it would be really nice!
@FathersR2 dude... u need software, u know this yeah? it will work with any software but has no sounds on its own its only a controller /its only buttons to trigger the sounds or samples in your sofware - check out the program called omniverse for the best sounds u can get, otherwise just download the m1 le program thats assigned to the korg nanno, cheers!
dope!
Very cool! I have a question for anyone who can help- I'm very new to midi controllers. Will i need a nice sound card or does a "standard" one work? Right now just messing around with my comp keyboard the note sounds just a little later than when I push it...help?!?!
WOW!
nice chords.
bad ass !
what softsynth you pumping out there?
what program do you use
OMG! I just noticed - I have old man hands!
i got this and i guess fl studio 9 doesn't work with it i tried every thing!...may get a akai lpk25..i wann do dark ambient music...i'm new 2 this...frustrates not knowing what i need 2 do ...
super legal!!!
are there many analogue synth sounds included in the M1LE?
1st heavy synth note = van halen - jump
What software are you using?
can this one be used with Logic pro 9?
@glkibler what is the name of the patch in wavestation?
is that Omnisphere or Atomosphere your playing ???
Can see something like on your laptop screen...
I guess that for proper pitch-bend or mod-wheel, one could add - surprise! - Korg's own nanoPAD? :-)
Ok cool thanks
can you use this in protools ??
sounds like omnisphere
can yu record with this on fl studio?
i want 2 get the korg nano key (black)
and then a mic. to do dark ambient stuff...peoples opinions screw up my feelings about getting one...but i am...
they say the akai lpk25 is better, but it depends what music u play...i like dark ambient with black metal vocals not pop bullshit!
Sure. The nano is simply a midi keyboard, albeit a very small one, and all music software accepts some sort of midi input.
lines in the sand intro?
Awesome!Something between Boards of Canada and Fragile State?
Does the nanokey work with fruityloops, which is a music software program??
I think is Ableton live
how many sounds are on the nanoKey?
@Patch3ll And alas, I do in fact own one. =)
its not huge sounds from nanokey...its nanokey triggers huge sounds from ableton lol...btw wat synth where u using after the omnisphere?
Sold.
It's mine :D
That would make a good intro, if it was a bit shorter.
no, not really. none of these sounds here were done with that plug-in that comes w/ the nano. I played with it for a bit and it was a bit like a trip down memory lane because I once had an M1 back in the day, but today it sounds admittedly dated, similar to what a Roland D50 or a Yamaha DX7 would sound like - nostalgic 80s/90s-ish
I think he is using FL studio 8
@TomasMolYvaSS See my response above. Thanks.
スケールの大きな曲ですね。
私もほしいです。
@chocolaten2k See my response above. Thanks.
@glkibler ummm... sorry, that wasn't a bit helpful!
First comment. All i can say is Great!!!
can yu record with this on fl studio?
