Hi everyone! Welcome back to the channel and today we will be taking a look at the Navee N65 electric scooter.
This scooter is a result of a successful crowdfunding campaign and it is considered to be the killer of the Ninebot Max electric scooter due to the reasonable price, great specs and build quality.
The Navee N65 is an urban scooter that can also handle off-road trails and is equipped with a 48V 12.5Ah battery, 10 inch wheels with a 500W motor upfront, an ingenious dual folding mechanism, a large LED display, advertised range of 65km and other great design features that we will take a closer look into.
The realatively large LED display is controlled by the two switches mounted on the thumb throttle handle on the right side. The display is not the brightest but it is well visible and shows the speed setting, battery voltage and capacity and the trip distance together with the odometer. The front LED light is mounted under the display and one on the rear fender. I really like the way the throttle engagement is shown on the display with this circle, and the same goes for the brake lever on the left.
This scooter has no suspension fitted but I feel like this would be compensated by the large tyres that can absorb some of the bumps on the road depending on the tyre pressure of course. The fenders are made of strong plastic and feel to be secured in place really well. The main hinge mechanism looks and feels truly robust and sturdy, with absolutely no play or movement in the stem whatsoever once unfolded. The steering column can also be used as a handle for carrying the scooter when folded. The frame is made out of these thick aluminium tubes which look rugged and can support a rider with a weight of up to 120kg. The scooter is IPX4 certified which goes to the lower end of water resistance implying that it will survive light rain and water spashes or small puddles but heavy rain or immersion into water should be avoided.
The mechanical disc brakes are mounted on the rear wheel and the braking system becomes even more effective when used in combination with regenerative braking on the front wheel. The scooter comes with a charger, operation manual and basic tools for adjusting the brakes or the folding mechanism. The 2A adapter charges the scooter from 0 to a 100 in around 6-7 hours. Since my scooter is a European model, the speed is limited to 25 km/h but the US version is increased to 32 km/h. The scooter itself is almost completely silent and the only noise comes from the wide tyres.
Unlike the 36V battery on the Ninebot Max and other scooters, the Navee carries a 48V battery with a capacity of 600 Wh which should provide a range of 65km (or at least that’s what they advertise.)
The Navee N65 also has an app that connects to the scooter via Bluetooth. Apart from what you can see on the display, the app also lets you lock the scooter using a password, enable regenerative braking and cruise control, change the units to miles, check for any faults, current draw and power output and perform any updates that might be available in the future.
Overall the Navee N65 feels solid and fun to ride. The front LED light is bright enough to see at night together with the brake light which flashes when the brakes are enabled.
So after riding more than a hundred kilometers on this scooter, the only drawbacks that I found is the relatively large weight, low ground clearance and weak water resistance of IPX4, meaning the scooter can cope with light rain and puddles but immersion into water should be avoided.
The robust frame, decent power, wide deck and grippy tyres, solid stance, good brakes and LED lights make the Navee N65 a great choice for daily commuting or fun rides at the park.
After riding the scooter on the maximum speed setting of three at a temperature of 10 degrees celsius, I got a range of 33 kilometers which is far from the advertised 65km but I’m sure that’s possible to reach using the lower speed settings of 15 or 20 km/h in warm weather and smooth roads.
So that is my review of the Navee N65 electric scooter. I can definitely recommend this scooter if you are not bothered by the relatively large weight, lower ground clearance and the basic waterproofing of IPX4.
In the meanwhile, I will continue to ride this scooter to see if any issues come up but so far I can say that I am impressed by the quality and looks of the Navee N65.

Saying to people it's good for Off-road trails are going to get somebody hurt. The N65. Sit just inches off of the ground and even will bottom out on a speed bump.

I have one of these, and it's great! I'm pretty heavy, and I get about 30-32 kms range (at the highest speed), which is what I would expect from 65kms advertised range. I usually get about half of any scooter's advertised range, so this was right on.

Thanks for watching! I do agree, this is a great scooter to have with very few drawbacks. And the range is almost exactly half of the 65 km advertised as you have noticed yourself.

Im in love with mine. It’s a little bit too much of a low ride but its otherwise a rock solid beast that has the farthest range of any scooter by far in the same price range

How tall are you? I'm quite tall (1,96m) and a bit worried that the handlebar will be too low for me.

What is it with people leaving shipping film over their plastics, screens, etc.? Not only does it create a tarnish over time that ruins what's under it, but it also looks stupid, and you can't enjoy a product as intended. I'll never understand it. It's like Dodge Challenger folks that leave bumper guards on, only to create more problems with their plastic in the future. Just dumb...
